Encino resident Russell Steinberg is a composer as well as founder and artistic director of the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles, who kicks of their fall series on November 24. In the spirit of the season, Universal Studios Hollywood recently held their 15th annual “Day of Giving” and hosted hundreds of homeless children across Los Angeles from Operation School Bell. As part of the event, children received new clothing and school supplies, followed by an afternoon in the theme park, and of course, a Minion for each to take home! The yearly event also supports other non-profit organizations including Project Angel Food, Tree People, Habitat for Humanity and Shane’s Inspiration.
