8th Year June 11,1979 Number 24 Fire Suspects Face Trial Two young men accused of arson in an attempt to burn the Big John Strong Circus tent are be ing held at Blythe, Calif., with bail set at $50,000 each. Both Michael Ackerman (17) and Gregory Olson (19) have been ordered to stand trial at California's Indio Superior Court, with Ackerman to be tried as an adult. A friend of Olson and Ackerman, 18 year old Kenneth Forrest was promised immunity against prosecution for his part in the alleged arson, for his testimony against the other two. According to Forrest, Olson paid for gasoline bought at a Sun Gold Liquor Gas Store.
