Sysmex Journal International Vol.10 No.2 (2000) ReportReport fromfrom thethe SYSMEXSYSMEX SCIENTIFICSCIENTIFIC SEMINARSEMINAR “Sysmex Scientific Seminar 2000 in Thailand” “Sysmex Scientific Seminar 2000 in Singapore” “The 3rd Sysmex Scientific Seminar 2000 in China” On October 26th, 28th, and November 10th 2000, SYSMEX CORPORATION held scientific seminars in three countries in ASIA. We have been conducting scientific seminars in Japan for the last 23 years, and in China since 1998. This year 2000, the 1st scientific seminars were held in Thailand (Bangkok) and Singapore, and the 3rd hematology seminar was held in China (Shanghai). The scientific program consisted mostly local speakers from each countries and some speakers from outside country. All speakers made excellent presentations with the academic and global topics such as Laboratory management (Laboratory systemization), A laboratory overview of neonatal hematology & coagulation practices, Examination of casts in urinary sediment, Importance of quality assessment with recent advances, and also included introduction of Sysmex analyzers. In all seminars, many participants including medical doctors, medical technicians had active discussions following the lectures. We believe that all participants benefited from the lectures and discussions in these seminars. We gratefully acknowledge all participants, speakers, and all others concerned in these scientific seminars. We strongly hope to support that the SYSMEX SEMINAR, will be continue to be welcomed in every countries as well and it will contribute to the progress of clinical laboratories.
