Crawford was one of the early affiliates of William J. Seymour (1870-1922) and the Azusa Street Revival (1906-1915) in Los Angeles, California. Seymour appointed Crawford as the state director of the Pacific Coast Apostolic Faith movement some time between 1906 and their separation in 1911. Crawford’s primary goal with the Portland mission was to assist local missions and church organizations to join the Apostolic Faith movement. After Crawford’s separation from Seymour, most of the organizations she worked with continued under her leadership. The mission also gained Clara Lum, editor of the Los Angeles-based publication The Apostolic Faith, in 1908. Scope and Content The Papers from Apostolic Faith Mission is a small collection of manuscripts of sermons given by Florence Crawford (1872-1936) and her son Raymond R. Crawford (1891-1965).
