Guided by the Gallery educators, AND students explore different stories in artworks and identify the key art FIND elements. The Gallery’s Indigenous art and culture programs celebrate the important history of Australia’s first peoples and enrich cultural understanding. Students discuss the culture and beliefs of Indigenous peoples, their spiritual connection to and care of the land and examine materials and techniques used. An Introduction Explore the Gallery’s collection of Indigenous art from different parts to Indigenous art of Australia including Arnhem Land bark paintings, Central Desert — dot painting and contemporary artworks.
