List of Non-Canadian Programming Services Authorized for Distribution – Annual Compilation of Amendments Broadcasting Regulatory Policy CRTC 2015-27 PDF version Ottawa, 30 January 2015 List of non-Canadian programming services authorized for distribution – Annual compilation of amendments 1. In Broadcasting Public Notice 2006-55, the Commission announced that it would issue a public notice each year setting out revised lists of eligible satellite services, including references to all amendments since the previous public notice setting out the lists. 2. In Broadcasting Regulatory Policy 2011-399, the Commission replaced the lists of eligible satellite services with a simplified, consolidated list, the List of non-Canadian programming services authorized for distribution (the list), which came into effect 1 September 2011. 3. Accordingly, in Appendix 1 to this regulatory policy, the Commission sets out all amendments made to the list since the last compilation found in Broadcasting Regulatory Policy 2014-18. Further, the non-Canadian programming services authorized for distribution approved as of 26 November 2014 are set out in Appendix 2. 4. As noted in Broadcasting Regulatory Policy 2014-240, Military Channel was renamed American Heroes Channel. Further, as set out in Broadcasting Decision 2014-217, Star India One Channel was removed from the list as requested by Asian Television Network International Limited, the Canadian sponsor, and agreed to by Star India Private Limited, the operator. These changes are reflected in Appendix 2. A kábeltelevíziós hálózat egésze optikai üvegszálas hálózattal kerül kiegészítésre és ezzel egy fejlesztésen esik át, amelynek következtében elindításra kerülnek a jelenlegi szolgáltatások mellett a Digitális SD és HD tartalmak. Bevezetésre kerül a VoIP telefonszolgáltatás, valamint lehetővé válik 250 Mbit-es (majd a későbbiekben az 500 Mbit-es) Internet csomag is, akár publikus és fix IP címmel is. Bízunk abban, hogy a közeljövőben a kábeltelevíziós hálózat teljes felújításának pozitív eredményeit Ön is észleli majd. Az új hálózati eszközök által elért magasabb minőségű felhasználói élmény mellett még több csatorna is bevezetésre kerül Kocs település területén. A hálózatba korszerű üvegszálas technológiával kerül a rendszer becsatlakoztatásra, így az Ön lakókörnyezetében is elérhetővé válik az analóg TV adásokon felül az SD és HD digitális TV adásokat tartalmazó kábel TV csomagok, valamint a nagysebességű Internet és a VoIP telefonszolgáltatások is a közeljövőben. Ezúton szeretnénk arról tájékoztatni, hogy az új analóg és digitális csatornakiosztások úgy lesznek összeállítva technikailag, hogy a TV programok tematikusan lesznek sorrendben, így egy automata hangolás segítségével sorrendbe kerülnek. The revised lists appended to this public notice supersede those appended to Revised lists of eligible satellite services, Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2005-105, 24 November 2005. Introduction 1. On 15 December 2004, the Commission received a request from Cable VDN Inc. (VDN), acting as Canadian sponsor,1 to add Bridges TV, a non-Canadian satellite service, to the lists of eligible satellite services for distribution on a digital basis (the digital lists). 2. VDN described Bridges TV as follows: Bridges TV is a U.S.-based English-language cultural, lifestyle, and entertainment programming service that is targeted to the interests of people of Muslim heritage. The programming on Bridges TV is 90% in English with a small amount of programming translated from languages other than English by way of open-captioning. 3. The Commission subsequently issued Call for comments on a proposal to add Bridges TV to the lists of eligible satellite services for distribution on a digital basis, Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2005-23, 18 March 2005. Positions of parties 4. The Commission received more than two thousand comments in support of VDN’s request. The vast majority of support came from individuals. For the most part, these individuals argued that Bridges TV would foster cultural diversity and enhance understanding of Islam among Canadian Muslims and people of other faiths.
