Welcome to Utsjoki! Finland’s Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, and the infectious diseases authorities at the Infection and hospital hygiene unit at the Lapland Hospital District strongly recommend that all cross-border arrivals undergo a coronavirus test. Coronavirus tests are organized in Utsjoki as follows: • Arrivals via the Polmak-Nuorgam border crossing point will be directed to a coronavirus test at the Utsjoki Health Care Centre • Arrivals via the Tana-Utsjoki border crossing point will be directed to a coronavirus test at the Utsjoki Health Care Centre • Arrivals via the Karasjok-Karigasniemi border crossing point will be directed to a coronavirus test at the Karigasniemi clinic Utsjoki Health Care Centre (Seitatie 1 A, 99980 Utsjoki) provides tests 24/7. At other times, please go to the Utsjoki Health Care Centre for a test. Appointments can be booked on weekdays from 8.00am - 4.00pm: tel. +358 40 758 2076 Coronavirus testing uses the rapid antigen test, which provides a result in 15 minutes. You will receive a certificate of your result in English, Norwegian, Sámi, or Finnish. If your test result is positive, you will be given a PCR test that will be sent for further analysis.
