WESLEYAN CHRISTIAN ACADEMY BUS TRANSPORTATION AGREEMENT

Wesleyan Christian Academy is pleased to offer a o ne-way morning bus route service via our new fleet of buses. In partnership with our parents, students, and bus drivers, our goal is to provide safe and convenient transportation for our families.

Bus Driver Information Wesleyan Christian Academy administers a criminal background check and a driving record background check on all bus drivers. In addition, our drivers are required to have their CDL (Commercial Drivers License) and are approved by the Wesleyan administration.

Pick-up Locations and Departure Times* Wesleyan buses will pick-up and depart for school at the following THREE locations and times:

*Please note that locations and times may vary to better serve your family as we learn more about traffic patterns, timing, etc.

Costs and Billing The Bus Service Agreement is for the entire academic school year and the cost will be approximately $100 per month for the first child and $50 for each additional child within the family. The months of August and December will be pro-rated by 50%.

Families will be billed for the bus service at the beginning of each month with payment due by the last day of each month. Unfortunately, financial aid is not available for this service and Wesleyan will not be able to refund money for weather-related cancellations.

BUS TRANSPORTATION AGREEMENT

Student Conduct on Buses Bus drivers, students, parents, teachers, and school administrators share the responsibility of bus safety by following all bus rules and behaving in a responsible manner.

By signing below, Wesleyan parents and students agree to abide by the following rules and regulations: ● Wesleyan students riding the bus are bound by all the same rules and regulations as stated in WCA’s Enrollment Agreement and agree to behave in a manner that is consistent with Wesleyan school policies and Christian behavior. ● As a Wesleyan family, we understand that in the case of inclement weather and/or delayed start times, Wesleyan’s bus service may not be offered and, as parents, we will be responsible for driving our children to school. ● As a Wesleyan family, we understand that in the case of inclement weather, traffic delays, etc., every effort will be made by Wesleyan to communicate up-to-date information with each bus rider’s parent(s) or student bus riders’ via text message. ● As a Wesleyan parent, I agree to arrive at my selected pick-up location at least 5 minutes before the scheduled departure time and I understand that if we arrive late the bus will leave without my child. ● We understand that the bus will be transporting students in grades K-12 and that students of the same age will be encouraged to sit together. Older students will be encouraged to assist younger students to their seats if needed. ● Eating food is not permitted on the bus. ● The only liquid allowed on the bus is water in a spill-proof container. ● Students will not distract the driver and will obey directions from the bus driver. ● Students will not use inappropriate language on the bus nor raise their voice, yell, scream, or engage in any behavior that would be distracting to other students or the bus driver. ● Earphones or earbuds will be used by students if they listen to music or watch videos while on the bus. ● Students will not listen to inappropriate music or watch inappropriate videos on their cell phones or any other electronic device while on the bus. ● Students will stay seated at all times and not get out of their seats until the bus comes to a complete stop. ● Students will keep all personal belongings under the seat in front of them and keep the aisle clear of backpacks, lunch boxes, gym bags, instruments, etc. ● Students will speak and act kindly toward other students and the bus driver. ● Students will not tamper with the emergency door or any other equipment related to the bus. ● I understand that will be billed for bus service at the beginning of each month with payment due by the end of each month. The months of August and December will be prorated. ● I understand that Wesleyan will not be able to refund money for weather-related cancellations or other cancellations that were beyond the school’s control.

Acknowledgment of Understanding

As a Wesleyan family, we have read and agree to abide by all of the bus transportation policies and procedures listed above. As a Wesleyan student, I understand if I choose not to follow these rules my parents will be contacted and disciplinary measures may be taken that include, but are not limited to: detention, in-school suspension, out-of-school suspension, losing bus riding privileges, or other consequences as specified in Wesleyan’s Parent/Student Handbook.
