Tuesdays at the Shell Concert Series opens July 9

KENOSHA- On July 9, Ivy Ford kicks off the Tuesdays at the Shell concert series, presented by MAAM, the City of Kenosha and Happenings Magazine. Ford, an indigo artist from Waukegan, will perform sultry at the Pennoyer Park Bandshell at 6 p.m.

Free, public concerts take place at 6 p.m. every Tuesday, July 9- Aug. 27 at the Pennoyer Bandshell located at Seventh Avenue and Kennedy Drive. Supporting sponsors include: Miller Lite, Frank J. Parise Law Offices, TG’s Restaurant and Pub, Molly’s Loft, Faded Barbershop for Men, Union Park Tavern and CD-DVD-Games. Food and soft drinks are available for purchase at the concerts.

The 2019 line up

July 9: Ivy Ford is an indigo artist that performs the blues, opening for blues legends such as , J.B. Ritchie and Tom Holland. Ivy Ford commands energy that is almost magical.

July 16: Electric Revolution is a ‘70s original hard and heavy group from the Milwaukee to Chicago corridor. performs hits from bands such as , Grand Railroad, Montrose, Y&T, Mountain, , Cactus, Rush, Kiss, UFO, Scorpions and more.

July 23: Tailspin Band is Kenosha’s premier ensemble. With five professional musicians, the band delivers a wide variety of musical styles with classics like “Sign, Sealed, Delivered,” and contemporary music such as “Poker Face,” and “Forget You.” The Tailspin Band is a hit for any audience.

July 30: Acoustic Soul is a unique acoustic band, combining exceptional vocals with instrumental accompaniment. Listeners will enjoy a unique collection of materials with songs from , , Lynyrd Skynard, Alman Brothers, The , , and many more.

Aug. 6: 89 Mojo is one of Southeastern Wisconsin’s favorite rock ‘n roll party bands, having performed at Summerfest, the Brat Stop and Chicago’s Cubby Bear. Performing - driven rock and , the band promises an energetic and fun show.

Aug. 13: Yesterday’s Children was founded in the mid-sixties. The group of highly experienced musicians have been entertaining groups around the Midwest with contemporary rock, , pop and .

Aug. 20: Doo-Wop Daddies perform classic music of the ‘50s and ‘60s in a fresh, new light. The band combines elements of vintage and cutting edge musical technologies, while staying faithful to the Doo-Wop style.

Aug. 27: Boys & Toys is a from Kenosha that plays a diverse of . With music from , Tom Petty, , , Goo Goo Dolls, Rolling Stones, Matchbox twenty, , Collective Soul, Led and more, the band executes a dynamic and electric stage performance.
