The times listed above reflect the local time in that Time Zone on May 22, 2021. Each Event Block will run for one hour and be followed by a 10- minute Break before the next Event Block begins. No team will begin the competition prior to 8:00 AM local time. Teams from Alaska and Hawaii will join the tournament in progress and complete any Event Blocks missed at the end of their day. The STEM Showdowns are 3 single-session Trail Events in each Division that will take place starting at High Noon (12:00 PM) Pacific Time. All remaining team numbers will be assigned in April after the final state membership totals for the 2021 Science Olympiad season have been determined. Teams will only be able to compete in their assigned Event Blocks. Any team missing an Event in one of their scheduled Event Blocks will be counted as a No Show for that event and scored accordingly.
