College Credit for Career & Technical Education Courses Sumner School District The Sumner School District has developed competency-based articulation agreements between our high schools and local colleges that help students transition from high school into post-secondary programs. Through these articulation agreements, colleges award credit to students who successfully complete college-equivalent courses and programs with a “B” or better while still in high school. Articulation agreements between the individual colleges and the school district define the criteria for equivalency and the granting of credit. The Sumner School District has current articulation agreements with Bates Technical College, Clover Park Technical College, Green River Community College, Highline Community College, Pierce College, and Renton Technical College. Sumner School District Career & Technical Education courses that qualify for college credit can be found in the course catalog. Students should check with their teacher for specifics.
