Indiana Library Budgets At Risk!

HB 1343 is up for amend and vote on Thursday, March 28, 2019, by the Senate Local Government Committee. HB1343 is a bill that could give control of library budgets to city/county councils. This bill could specifically give those bodies the power to reduce library budgets and reallocate those funds. Needless to say, we have some concerns. Please contact the Local Government Committee members today to let them know you oppose this bill. Their email addresses are listed below. You can learn more about the committee and the people on it here: http://iga.in.gov/legislative/2019/committees/local_government_4300 Contact the committee today and let them know that you love your library and don't want to see outside councils controlling what it can offer.

Thank you for your help!
