Lloyd Arnold has been a resident of District 74 his entire life and is a member of the 118th General Assembly freshman class. He was raised in Crawford County and now raises a family there with his wife, Jody, a Perry County native. Rep. Arnold graduated from Perry Central High School in 1992, where his father taught. After graduation, Rep. Arnold went on to join the U.S. Army and later joined the Indiana National Guard. During his service in the National Guard, he attended Oakland City University where he studied Business Management and earned a commission as an officer. Rep. Arnold was commissioned as a lieutenant in 1998, and in 2003 he served the Indiana National Guard in Iraq as an executive officer. Rep. Arnold has also served eight years as a reserve sheriff’s deputy in District 74, and now serves on the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department Merit Board. During his service in the National Guard, Rep. Arnold was employed by Toyota in Princeton as part of the Quality Management Team. Using the experience gained from that position, Rep. Arnold made the decision to open his own businesses in 2007. While serving in the Statehouse, Rep. Arnold sold his business and is now helping entrepreneurs succeed as the executive director of Orange County Economic Development Partnership. Rep. Arnold is also a licensed real estate broker. He currently represents District 75, which covers parts of Warrick, Pike and Spencer counties. He is an advocate for fiscal integrity through a balanced state budge, meaningful tax reform, increased economic development and family values. Rep. Bacon has been highly involved in his community. He served as chairman of the St. Mary’s Warrick Hospital Foundation for six years, and he is a current director of the Warrick County Chamber of Commerce and a member and past president of the Boonville Kiwanis club. Rep. Bacon is a member of the National Rifle Association, Right to Life of Southwestern Indiana, Indiana Right to Life, and he attends the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Daylight, IN. Elected in November of 2010, he is proud to represent his district which includes all of Putnam County and portions of Clay, Morgan, Owen and Parke counties. Rep. Baird serves as a member of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee and appreciates the opportunity to use his rural background and understanding of agriculture to arrive at practical, common sense solutions to various issues facing the industry. He was first elected to the chamber in 2014. Bassler was an at-large representative on the Washington City Council. Bassler earned his bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Psychology and master's degree in Economics from Indiana University. His professional experience includes working as a financial advisor at Edward Jones Investments. Patrick Bauer served previously as Speaker of the House through several legislative sessions over the past decade. He has also served previously as House Democratic Leader and as chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee. During his legislative service, Bauer has gained recognition as one of the leading fiscal experts in Indiana state government. In his position as chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee, Pat played an influential role in the creation and passage of the biennial budget that funds most state operations. When not working as a state legislator, Pat serves as Vice President of External Partnerships at Ivy Tech Community College. He also is a member of the advisory boards for Indiana University–South Bend and the Urban Enterprise Association of South Bend, Inc. Real Estate and Insurance Broker License Committees: Public Policy, Ranking Member Health and Provider Services Environmental Affairs Vaneta Becker is an American politician who serves as a Republican Senator in the Indiana Senate representing portions of Vanderburgh and Warrick County in the southern part of the state. She sits on the Health and Provider Services Committee and chairs its Public Health Subcommittee having moved on from the Chairmanship of the Provider Services Subcommittee. She is the ranking member of the standing committee on Commerce, Public Policy and Interstate Cooperation. Becker graduated from North High School in Evansville and received her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Southern Indiana. She has been a real estate broker in Southwestern Indiana since 1975. Her husband, Andy Guarino is a principal with Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation Becker was first elected to the Indiana House of Representatives in 1981 and served until 2005. She sits on numerous Interim Study Committees: the Evansville State Hospital Advisory Committee, Indiana Commission on Excellence in Health Care, Health and Child Care Issues Evaluation Committee, Health Finance Commission, Indiana Commission for Women, and the Prescription Drug Advisory Committee. He was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and has been a proud Hoosier his entire life. In 1976, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University. He was a small business owner for 34 years and is an active member of his church and community. Throughout his tenure as a representative, he has advocated for education reform in Indiana. As Chair of the House Committee on Education, he led efforts to pass the most comprehensive education reform package in the United States.
