Da questa volontà nasce il progetto “Destinazione Vietnam per le imprese emiliano-romagnole dell’industria meccanica” sviluppato e co-finanziato da Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna insieme alla Regione - con soggetto attuatore Promec, Azienda Speciale della Camera di commercio di Modena per l’Internazionalizzazione - con il Patrocinio dei Ministeri Sviluppo Economico e Affari Esteri e con la collaborazione della Camera di commercio italiana in Vietnam e ICE-Agenzia. Destinazione Vietnam continuerà nel 2015 con FoodFactory. Obiettivo generale del progetto è consolidare il per- corso avviato nel 2013 con la prima annualità, tenendo anche conto dell’importantissimo appuntamento che vede l’Italia protagonista con l’Expo, per supportare i processi di internazionalizzazione delle imprese regionali della filiera dell’agroindustria, compresi prodotti agroalimentari a qualità certificata, attraverso azioni di promo- zione, informazione, accompagnamento e assistenza specialistica. In occasione della missione nazionale svoltasi ad ottobre del 2013 che ha visto l’Emilia-Romagna capofila della missione istituzionale nazionale camerale, sono stati sottoscritti diversi accordi: dai Memorandum of Under- standing tra Unioncamere regionale, VCCI Ho Chi Minh City e Icham (Camera di commercio italiana in Vietnam), Vietrade e Provincia di Binh Duong alle lettere di intenti tra Regione Emilia-Romagna e Provincia di Binh Duong e tra Aster e Hust-Politecnico di Hanoi. L’intento è creare un ambiente favorevole per l’interazione delle imprese emiliano-romagnole in Vietnam. A fine 2013, l’Emilia-Romagna raggiunge il suo obiettivo. I dati economici rilevano un + 27% dell’export rispetto al 2012 per un valore di 121 milioni di euro.     THE ECONOMIC COST OF NUCLEAR THREATS: A NORTH KOREA CASE STUDY. Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to investigate how public announcements of a nation’s nuclear programme development influence neighbouring countries’ stock markets. The countries examined in this case study are North and South Korea. To test this relationship I conducted an event study using MacKinlay’s market model. Six announcement days were studied comprising out of three nuclear tests and three missile and satellite related tests. The findings of this research are in contrast to prior research. Empirical researches on the economic effects of terrorism suggest that acts of terrorism create large impacts on economic activity. The results of our event study show that the announcements caused both negative and positive reactions on the market. News announcements effect these expectations on a day to day basis. Terrorist attacks, military invasions, nuclear threats or any other ambivalent events can alter investor’s expectations and so allow the prices of stocks and bonds to deviate from their fundamental value. Once such events have taken place investors often defer from the market in search of safer, more secure financial investments which can lead to panic and chaos on the markets (Chen and Siems, 2004). Such chaos can also be caused by threats from other neighbouring countries. A perfect example of this is the relationship between North and South Korea. Ever since the division of North and South Korea on September 8, 1945 the two bordering nations have had a strenuous relationship, ultimately leading to the Korean war of 1950-1953.

In 2001, Orion Group was detached from Tong-yang group and started the businesses on its own. In 1997, Orion entered the Chinese market by building OFC (Orion Food Co.) factory in Beijing. In line with its plans to become an international brand, Orion Confectionery later set up production facilities in China, Russia and Vietnam from 2002-2006 to enter the markets.

The trade products were selected based on an analysis of statistical data, by comparing the following factors: ● ASEAN products exported to the world with the high values and volumes; ● Products from the world exported to Korea with the high values and volumes; and ● Products from ASEAN countries exported to Korea in comparatively small values and volumes. The analysis identified the ASEAN products with the greatest possible potential to enter the Korean market. Many ASEAN products are exported to the world, but some of these items enter Korea in relatively small volume. On the other hand, world products are exported to Korea in relatively huge volumes.
