The documents listed here are those selected for permanent preservation. They were deemed worthy of preservation because of their general relevance to the policy and main activities of the N.W.A.A., and the remainder were destroyed. Those records preserved represent the Association^ artistic endeavours throughout North Wales, particularly in funding clubs and societies and promoting cultural and artistic exhibitions and festivals. Such documents also include the records of Mabon, the Association^ bi-annual magazine, published in English and Welsh, which reflects the Association^ involvement with North Wales schools and local writers.

The records deposited showed no evident continuous filing system, and therefore an appropriate order was created (exsting file numbers were included in square brackets wherever they occurred). This list was prepared in accordance with the guidelines and recommendations contained in the Manual of Archival Description [2nd. ed.] CONTENTS
