Comedy series BARRY, starring Emmy® winner Bill Hader, returns for second season march 31 on HBO Desperate to leave his violent past behind in favor of his newfound passion, Barry is attempting to untangle himself from the world of contract killing and fully immerse himself in acting. But getting out is messy. While Barry has eliminated many of the external factors that pushed him towards violence, he soon discovers they weren't the only forces at play. What is it about his own psyche that led him to become a killer in the first place? The dark comedy series BARRY, starring Emmy® winner Bill Hader, returns for its eight-episode second season SUNDAY, MARCH 31 (10:00-10:30 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO. Alec Berg (HBO’s “Silicon Valley”) and Hader (“Saturday Night Live”) are co-creators, executive producers, directors and writers. Other cast regulars include: Stephen Root (“Get Out”) as Monroe Fuches, Barry’s former handler, contemplating a future without his primary source of income; Sarah Goldberg (“Hindsight”) as Sally, a dedicated acting student who is Barry’s love interest; Anthony Carrigan (“Gotham”) as Noho Hank, now in the hot seat as the new head of the Chechen mob in LA; and Emmy® winner Henry Winkler (“Arrested Development”) as Gene Cousineau, a pompous yet endearing acting teacher who takes Barry under his wing. As season two opens, Barry struggles to focus exclusively on the theater and his girlfriend and classmate Sally, hoping against hope to rid himself of the ties that bind him to the Chechen mob group now led by Noho Hank, who ascended to the top job after Barry whacked his boss last season. -

The studies came up again as one of several issues discussed at the RMI- U.S. Joint Committee Meeting held last week in Majuro. An estimated 700 Marshallese live on the island, located about one mile south of Roi-Namur, many working in sup- port of USAKA/RTS. The island’s only source of power is portable, gas-fed gen- erators for individual buildings. The island also has no running water and the only telephones are cellular phones. Hap, hap, happy days for songwriter Charles Fox By Paul Freeman For The Daily News Posted: 01/05/2012 12:07:51 AM PST Updated: 01/05/2012 12:07:51 AM PST It should come as no surprise that Charles Fox recently received recognition from the Smithsonian Institute. The award- winning composer is, himself, an American institution, having penned such pop classics as "Killing Me Softly," "Ready To Take A Chance Again" and "I Got A Name," such iconic TV themes as "Happy Days," "Laverne and Shirley" and "The Love Boat," and scores for many films. Fox's success is the result not only of rare talent, but of dedication to his craft. "You never know what the public is going to reach for," he said. "But I do know if I've written a good song and I do know if there's something unique about it. You just have to know, as a songwriter, when you've written something that's special, that says what you want to say. Until then, I'm not satisfied. You keep working on it, honing away. -
