Training to help with coping with children with special needs and general activities is given. Once you apply you will be matched up with a child and session to suit. Henry Tyndale School Activities Include: Classroom assistance Volunteer, helping out with any year from primary, secondary and sixth form pupil ages. Your activities will differ depending on the class and time that you attend. Location: Time: You can volunteer during any of your frees Henry Tyndale School although not during last lesson of the day Ship Lane as they finish around 3.00pm. Farnborough You will attend for one free a week for GU148BX 1hour-1hour30mins, you can do more if you wish but it is best to start volunteering Near Farnborough North Train Station. with one free first. LinkAble Activities Include: LinkAble is a Woking-based charity helping people with learning disabilities by providing children and adults with a range of sporting, social and leisure activities in and around the community that would otherwise be unavailable. You must be aged 18+ to work with adult groups. You will have the opportunity to help work with young children with learning disabilities and their siblings, helping them access the activities in a supportive environment. SATURDAY Cresent Centre, Earley 9.30am-11.15am A social group for adults with a learning disability that TUESDAY meets in the community for 7.00pm-9.00pm fun activities. Bracknell A club for young people and adults aged 16+ with learning disabilities, including TUESDAY 7.00pm-9.00pm those with profound learning disabilities. The Acorn Social Club Club for youngsters yr 9 and WEDNESDAY 7.00pm-9.00pm up with learning difficulties Rushmoor Mallards Sports Club for the Disabled Activities Include: The Rushmoor Mallards is a disability sports club and runs a pay-as-you-go sports and social night every Friday evening at the Farnborough Leisure Centre in Hampshire. We're looking for volunteers to help facilitate these sessions - setting up equipment for sports such as boccia, darts, table-tennis, table football etc., collecting door money and joining in the fun, ensuring that all attendees are encouraged to join in as well. At each session, we are joined by a volunteer coach from a range of sports including football, cricket and trampolining. A willingness to get involved with co-ordinating the rota for these volunteers would also be appreciated. Location: Time: Farnborough Leisure Centre Friday Evening Hart and Rushmoor NAS Activities Include: The Hart & Rushmoor Branch of the National Autistic Society is looking for volunteers to assist with their: After School Zone, Wednesday 15:00 – 18:00 Building Zone, Thursday 15:00 – 18:00 Team Zone, 1st Friday of the Month 18:00 – 20:00 Cyber Zone, Every other Saturday 10:30 – 14:30 Location: Time: Samuel Cody Speicialist Sports Various Times College, Ballantyne Road, Farnborough, GU14 8SS Musical Instrument Instruction Helper Activities Include: The Parents Action Group for Special Play are looking for volunteers to help with a group of 4 young people with a learning/physical disability learning to play a musical instrument. The Rock and Pop foundation are providing the venue and tutor for the young people to learn to play a musical instrument, drums, keyboard, and guitar. The volunteers will enable the young people to enjoy the session and assist them to put into practice what the music tutor is teaching. Location: Time: The Rock and Pop Foundation, Suite 1 A Wednesday evening during term time Wesley Chambers, Queens Road at either 6.30 or 7.15pm, for a 45min Aldershot session. Travel expenses can be claimed. .
