Actualización de Mac OS X y QuickTime Antes de instalar Logic Express, debe comprobar que su sistema cumple los requisitos mínimos de software detallados en el documento Antes de la instalación de Logic Express, que encontrará en el disco de instalación de Logic Express. En caso de ser necesario, deberá actualizar el software de su sistema para asegurarse de que dispone de la última versión del Mac OS X. Asimismo, deberá tener instalada la última versión de QuickTime. Para actualizar el software de su sistema: 1 Seleccione Apple > Actualización de Software. Aparecerá la ventana Actualización de Software, que mostrará el software nuevo o actualizado disponible para su ordenador. 2 En caso de que sea necesario, siga las instrucciones que aparecen en pantalla para actualizar el Mac OS X y QuickTime a la última versión disponible. Importante: El procedimiento señalado arriba solo funciona para las actualizaciones de software gratuitas. Asimismo, se da por supuesto que el usuario dispone de conexión a Internet. Las actualizaciones que no son gratuitas pueden adquirirse a través de cual- quier establecimiento comercial de Apple. Este sería el caso, por ejemplo, de las actuali- zaciones que implican cambios muy importantes en el sistema, como el paso de Mac OS X 10.3 a Mac OS X 10.4. 4 Instalación de Logic Express Al instalar Logic Express, sus componentes se guardan en la carpeta Aplicaciones del disco de arranque. Nota: Debe iniciar una sesión en su ordenador como administrador —utilizando la con- traseña del administrador— para poder instalar Logic Express. Consulte la Ayuda Mac para obtener más información al respecto. Para instalar y autorizar Logic Express: 1 Introduzca el DVD de instalación de Logic Express en su unidad de DVD. 2 Inicie la instalación haciendo doble clic en el icono de instalación de Logic Express y siga las instrucciones que aparecen en pantalla. 3 El programa de instalación comprobará los requisitos del sistema para determinar si Logic Express 8 puede instalarse. Introduzca el número de serie con los guiones correspondientes (obliga- torio). 10 En el campo “Número de serie”, introduzca el número de serie de Logic Express (que aparece en una etiqueta en la contraportada de este documento) y haga clic en Continuar. 6 11 Si está actualizando una versión anterior de Logic Express, aparecerá un cuadro de diá- logo solicitándole que introduzca el número de serie de su versión anterior de Logic o que conecte la XSKey a uno de los puertos USB de su ordenador. Â Si está actualizando Logic Express 6 o Logic Audio, conecte la XSKey a uno de los puertos USB de su ordenador. Importante: No se deshaga de la XSKey tras la instalación, ya que la necesitará siem- pre que actualice Logic Express 8 (o para reinstalarlo, en caso necesario). Â Si está actualizando a partir de Logic Express 7, introduzca el número de serie de Logic Express 7. Puede encontrar el número de serie solicitado en la portada del documento Logic Express 7: Instalación del software. 12 Haga clic en el botón Actualizar o Instalar del panel “Instalación sencilla”. 13 Aparecerá un cuadro de diálogo que le preguntará su nombre y su contraseña. Com- pruebe que con el nombre y la contraseña introducidos se accede a una cuenta de usuario con privilegios de administrador. Haga clic en OK cuando haya terminado. Una vez terminada la instalación, puede empezar a usar la aplicación Logic Express. Algunas indicaciones sobre las estructuras de las carpetas Para no poner en peligro la funcionalidad de Logic Express, asegúrese de no cambiar la estructura de carpetas creada durante la instalación. Las carpetas situadas dentro de /Librería/Application Support/Logic y ~/Librería/Application Support/Logic no deben trasladarse ni renombrarse nunca. Por favor, utilice un alias de la ubicación original si desea trasladar una carpeta, como EXS Factory Samples, a otra unidad o directorio. 7 Registro de Logic Express 8 La primera vez que abra Logic Express 8, la aplicación le solicitará que introduzca los datos necesarios para efectuar el registro. Los datos especificados en la tarjeta “Yo” de la Agenda se introducen automáticamente en los campos pertinentes. Para registrar Logic Express 8 a nombre de un usuario distinto al de la tarjeta “Yo” de la Agenda: 1 Rellene los campos Nombre, Dirección, Empresa y Dirección e-mail. 2 Si desea recibir en su correo electrónico información acerca de las novedades y actuali- zaciones de software de Apple, seleccione la opción correspondiente. 3 Si desea volver a leer la política de privacidad de Apple, haga clic en “Política de privacidad”. 4 Cuando haya terminado, haga clic en “Registrar ahora”. Logic Express 8 se registrará ahora. Nota: Si decide hacer clic en el botón “Registrar más tarde”, el programa le solicitará que registre su versión cuando lo haya abierto cinco veces. 8 Contacto con el servicio de soporte AppleCare Apple ofrece varios niveles de servicio y soporte para Logic Express y su hardware de Apple. Independientemente de cuál sea el problema, conviene tener siempre a mano la información siguiente. General Changes This section outlines global menu and operational changes. Parameter Boxes All parameters that only have two states (on/off) have been changed into checkboxes. Simply click on the box to activate (checked), or deactivate (unchecked) the parameter. Parameters that have been updated to operate in this fashion include: • Region: Loop • Arpeggio: Repeat • Score: Interpretation, Syncopation, No Overlap, Lyric Menu Changes The Audio > Audio Settings menu item was removed, as it was a duplicate of Logic > Preferences > Audio.
