Bramley was playing with Sidney Lazard, Steve Garner and Howard Leading by only 8 Victory Points going into the final round, the Malley team lost but the other contenders could not take advantage. Their final score of 33.29 was 1.09 ahead of runners-up George Rosenkranz, Eddie Wold and four Polish stars -- Marcin Lesniewski, Marek Szymanowski, Adam Zmudzinski and Cezary Balicki. “This was for Edgar,” said Bramley after the presentation of the Reisinger trophy. Bramley was referring to the late Edgar Kaplan, who, along with Norman Kay, were originally part of the team. Kaplan died in September after a long battle with cancer.
