The GRTY Exec Board started off 2015 with a very beneficial leadership meeting. On January 7th, the Exec Board met at Temple to learn all about the importance of communication and time manage- ment. For example, one of the activities was to write an everyday responsibility, such as home- work, sports or chores, on a balloon. Then, we all stood in a circle and tried to keep all of the balloons in the air while bouncing them around. As you can probably guess, it was very difficult. This led us to the conclusion that balance and time management are keys to being successful. Dear Friend: This letter is being sent to you as someone whose family may have established a heartfelt and tangible link to our congregation. Congregation Ohave Sholom has relocated to a significantly smaller location. The Congregation came to the painful decision that we are no longer able to display our Memorial Boards. The Congregation is having each memorial plaque photographed and will be placing a beautiful and respectful Memorial Book in our sanctuary. We are in the process of finding relatives of the individuals that have been memorialized at Ohave Sholom. If you believe that we may have a memorial plaque for a member of your family, please contact Ohave Sholom at 815-226-4900 or [email protected]. Ohave Sholom does not have the resources to pay postage for the several hundred Memorial Plaques that we have. We are asking that you pick up the plaque, pay for postage or make other arrangements. All Memorial Plaques which have not been requested by June 1, 2015 will, regretfully, have to be melted down.
