Queens Extended Care Program

On behalf of the Wildlife Conservation Society Education Department, welcome to the Zoo’s Summer Camp Extended Care program! We are thrilled that your child will be joining us for an extension program of summer camp. By now you should have received your confirmation email and ticket from [email protected]. If you have not received your ticket please email the Registrars at [email protected].

Here are a number of policies and procedures that we would like you to take note of. Please take the time to read through all of this information to ensure that you are fully prepared for the program. Don’t hesitate to call us at 800-433-4149 or email us at [email protected] with any questions.

BEFORE THE PROGRAM:  Please notify us if your child is unable to attend on any given day. Please call 800-433- 4149 to do so. Due to the unique nature of this class, we cannot provide make- up sessions.

 If your child has special needs (dietary, allergy, behavioral, physical, etc.) please notify us in advance. We want your child to have the best experience possible and can only do this if we know the unique needs of your child!

 Please note that we need a minimum number of participants to host extended care. Queens Zoo has the right to cancel extended care 4 weeks prior to the program if we do not have enough participants.

PROGRAM DETAILS:  Campers will be escorted to the Education Center (on the Farm) at the conclusion of their regular camp day to join other extended day campers.  We will provide nut-free snacks for campers around 4pm. If your camper has dietary restrictions, please let us know ahead of time. You are also invited to provide snack for your camper as well.  Your child can be picked up any time after 3:00 pm but we require that you let us know the expected pick-up time.
