Every year the scriptures focus on Jesus as the Good Shepherd. The above quote is taken from this weekend’s second reading from the Letter of St. Peter. As a shepherd leads his flock, protects his flock, loves his flock, so is Jesus, our shepherd, the one who leads, guides and protects. During this stressful time, we need the Good Shepherd! This focus got me thinking of the people that “shepherd” me. I am sure we all have people who in a sense shepherd us, who bring the best out of us, that can be honest with us.
