Living Costs South Wales offers great value for money. Food, entertainment, accommodation and other day-to-day costs are likely to be lower than in many other parts of the UK.

It is difficult to estimate how much it will cost you to live in the UK because so much depends on your personal lifestyle. UK Visas and Immigration suggests that students should allow approximately £1020 per month for living costs if you will be studying in London and £820 per month if you will be studying elsewhere in the UK. You will also need to consider any additional costs of travelling to and from your home country.

If your family will live with you in the UK, then you will need to bring enough money to support them too. For more information on general living costs in the UK, visit www.educationuk.org . You may also find the International Student Calculator helpful: www.studentcalculator.org.uk/international

Deposits A deposit must be paid before letters for a visa application are issued. This deposit will also secure scholarships. Your offer letter will clearly outline methods of payment for your deposit and the balance of your tuition fees.

Refund of deposits or prior payment of fees will only occur if you can produce evidence that your visa was refused. Refunds will not be made under any other circumstances. Please note refunds may incur an administration fee.

Payment Schedule Exact payment details will be outlined in your offer letter. Visit www.southwales.ac.uk/international for details.

Sponsored Students If you want your sponsor to receive information about your progress, please bring a signed letter to enrolment that gives the University permission to do so.
