FAMILY FORMATION THE CATECHESIS OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD

A Whole Family Approach to The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is available at Learning and Living the Catholic Faith Holy Cross. It is an approach to the religious formation of children that is rooted in the Bible, the liturgy of the Church, and the educational principles of Maria Montessori. JOIN US DURING OUR PARISH FEAST WEEK IN SEPTEMBER!

The Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross is celebrated on September 14th. This is the day we celebrate our church recalling three events: (1) The finding of the True Cross by Saint Helena; (2) The dedication of the churches built by Con- stantine on the site of the Holy Sepulchre and Mount Calvary; (3) The restoration of the True Cross to Jerusalem.

In a deeper sense, the feast celebrates the Holy Cross as an instrument of our salvation. This instrument of torture, designed to degrade the worst of criminals, became the life-giving tree that reversed Adam's original sin. There is reason to CELEBRATE!

Please join your parish family during the week beginning on Sunday, Sept. 10th through Friday, Sept. 15th for various programs and events to PRAISE GOD for his Son and our parish family. Always home, always family! More details to follow in next week's bulletin!
