Visual and Parallel Computing Group (VPG)

This is a team whose main objective is to design, implement and validate the 3D graphic drivers for GPUs integrated with Intel’s processors. It provides software to drivers compliant with Direct3D® and OpenGL standards, for operating systems: Windows®, Android and Linux. VPG Engineers are experienced in code optimisation, compilers and parallel programming. Recent graphic systems allow creation of advanced visual effects with use of stream graphic programming. Such a model is realized with so called “shaders”, which are part of an application program. The Neptun fountain The Neptun fountain is the biggest symbol of Gdansk. The ancient God of sea has become a per- sonification of the port city forever. The history of the fountain has started during the XVII century – in 1633 it was activated for the first time. This project was designed by Dutch sculptor Abraham van den Blocke and Piotr Husen.
