The district was divided into low-lying Revision Received 23 May 2017 Accepted 6 July 2017 (Sonawari), medium altitude (Bandipora) and High altitude (Gurez) regions. Multi-stage ----------------------------------------------- random sampling was done in which 20% villages were selected from each region in the Key words: Sheep, Bandipora, socio-economic, first stage through proportionate random sampling and 20 respondents from each selected profile village in second stage through simple random sampling. A total of 480 respondents ---------------------------------------------- (Sonawari=200, Bandipora=160, Gurez=120) from 24 villages were considered for the survey. It was observed that majority of the sheep rearers (59.79%) were illiterate with proportion of such respondents being significantly higher (p<0.05) in Gurez (68.33%) than Sonawari (54.0%) region. Majority (65.8%) of sheep rearers in the district were having medium size families (5-8 members) with an average family size of 6.60±0.129 with majority (86.7%) of the families being nuclear type.

    THE JAMMU AND KASHMIR CONDUCT OF ELECTION RULES, 1965 Notification SRO 133, dated 14th June, 1965, Law Department] [As Amended by SRO 391, dated 29.9.2014] In exercise of the powers conferredCONDUCT by section OF ELECTION 168C of theRULES, Jammu 1965 and Kashmir Representation of the People Act, 1957 and in supersession of the Jammu and Kashmir Representation of the People (Conduct of Elections and Election Petitions) Rules, 1957, the Government, after consulting the Election Commission, hereby makes the following rules, namely:- PART I PRELIMINARY 1. Short title and commencement (1) These rules may be called the Jammu and Kashmir ConductRule of 1 Election Rules, 1965. (2) They shall come into force at once. 2. The state recorded production of 30.09 thousand metric tonnes of flowers during 2016-17, of which 29.70 thousand metric tonnes were loose flowers and 0.39 thousand metric tonnes were cut flowers.

The major goal of community resource mapping is to ensure that all youth have access to a broad, comprehensive, and integrated system of services essential in achieving desired school and post-school outcomes. Community resource mapping can be used to improve education, workforce development, and economic development in a community by aligning available services and resources, streamlining those services and resources, and identifying areas of need. The idea of resource mapping builds on the community’s strengths by increasing the frequency, duration, intensity, and quality of services and supports in the community. It is a way to organize information and give direction to meet a common community goal. As a result of resource mapping, families and youth have more flexibility and choice in navigating the system. The alignment of resources, streamlining of resources, and identification of service gaps within the community enables educators and service providers to (a) understand the full range of services available to youth within a community, (b) more efficiently provide the specific supports needed by each youth, and (c) develop new services and supports targeted to fill existing gaps. In recent years, the Government of Jammu & Kashmir has been giving increased focus towards the Disaster Management and related aspects. It is because of the fact that J&K State is vulnerable to multiple natural hazards like floods, earthquake, landslides, fire, drought, windstorm, snow avalanches, drowning incidents etc resulting in loss of lives, damage to the property, infrastructure and public utilities.

Notification No. 51 – PSC (DR-S) of 2018 Dated: 30.01.2018 Whereas, the Health & Medical Education Department referred 371 posts (OM:213, RBA:74, SC:29, ST:37, ALC:11 & SLC:07) of Medical Officer to the Public Service Commission for being filled up from amongst the suitable candidates; and Whereas, the Commission notified these posts vide Notification No. 01-PSC (DR-P) of 2017 dated 27.03.2017; and Whereas, in response to the above notification, 2883 applications were received; and Whereas, the written test of the candidates for selection was conducted on 26.06.2016 in which 2452 candidates appeared.
