Basaltic out crops are seen in Chikhli, Vansda & East Part of Gandevi taluka while Navsari, Jalalpor & Gandevi Taluka recent alluvium (Sand & Clay) is seen. Ground water in alluvial formation is available under unconfined to confined nditions and availability of water is also satisfactory. The depth of the bores nerally ranges from 20 to 60 Mts. However, in The East & Central part, the bore depth is 90 Mts. In trap area, the availability of ground water is less & in the coastal part is saline.
