Viacom's MTV Networks and Mediacom Communications Sign Long Term Affiliation Agreement Viacom's MTV Networks and Mediacom Communications Sign Long Term Affiliation Agreement January 6, 2004 NEW YORK and MIDDLETOWN, N.Y., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MTV Networks, a division of Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B) and Mediacom Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: MCCC), through its operating subsidiaries, today announced that they have signed a long-term affiliation agreement that secures distribution for all MTV Networks analog channels, including Comedy Central, throughout Mediacom's cable systems. The agreement also provides for the distribution of MTV Networks' core digital package which includes Noggin, VH1 Classic, MTV2, Nickelodeon Games and Sports (GAS), Nicktoons and MTV Hits across Mediacom systems. Tom Freston, Chairman and CEO, MTV Networks, said, "We couldn't be happier to complete this important deal with Mediacom that secures distribution for our services well into the future. We are especially pleased that we can continue to provide Mediacom customers with not only the great programming from our strong brands that they are used to, but more new programming from our digital package."
