These ASAs will start at 3.00 pm and finish at 4.00 pm with additional Dance Classes running from 4.00-5.00 pm. Maximum Number of Students are sometimes indicated if there is a limit due to the nature of the activity and size of location, however we try our best to accommodate all students where possible. [email protected] can be contacted to answer questions/queries or found outside the ES Changing Rooms or Cafeteria corridor between 2.55 p.m. and 3.10 p.m.on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the first few weeks when the activities have started. Alternatively, he can be found in his office in the Big Gym (Room 323) at other times. MONDAYS Modern Dance gr 3 Ms Dasa H [email protected] - Multi-Purpose Room - 3.00--4.00, max. 20 students. Students will explore more advanced movement patterns based on various styles of modern dance, including modern jazz, street dance, lyrical dance etc. The whole class will be structured to include warm-up, stretching, strength building, choreography building and free dance expression. Fun movement will be complemented by an introduction to correct posture, body awareness and care. Dance students will perform for ISP students and parents. A fee of 500 CZK is required to cover the cost of performance costumes to be brought to the first session. Contact details: [email protected] Bollywood Dance gr 1,2,3,/4,5 Om Dance Academy - Ms Lucie L / Ms Jarmila ,[email protected] ES Theatre Grade 1,2,3 2.50-3.50 pm - Grade 4-5 3.50-4.50, max. 20 students Modern and various Indian film dances will surprise you with their expressive elements and colourful techniques in every step - a fusion of the ancient Indian tradition and wisdom with modern dance techniques. - latest Bollywood dance hits - improvement of body coordination through entertaining technique - basics of acting skills and stage movement abilities - dance performance for parents at the end of the whole course - relaxing technique at the end of each class (consciousness of individual parts of the body and their relaxation) Contact details: [email protected] Mixed Futsal and Freestyle Football gr 1 Mr Andrew A, Tennis Bubble (Meet outside ES changing rooms) - 2.50-3.50 pm - 14 Students The students in this ASA will learn futsal and freestyle skills. As the futsal pitch is smaller than a normal football pitch, they will learn how to make fast decisions and move on the pitch with and without the ball. In addition, Freestyle football skills will be helping students to develop their confidence learning how to juggle the ball. MONDAYS Boys Futsal and Freestyle Football, gr 3,4,5 Mr Andrew A - Tennis Bubble (Meet outside Elementary Gym changing rooms) - 3.50-4.50 pm - 14 Students The students in this ASA will learn futsal and freestyle skills. As the futsal pitch is smaller than a normal football pitch, they will learn how to make fast decisions and move on the pitch with and without the ball. In addition, Freestyle football skills will be helping students to develop their confidence learning how to juggle the ball. Adventure Games gr 1,2,3 Adventure Games - Ms Jana C / Ms Nilob N - Elementary Gym - 2.50-3.50 pm - 20 Students Students take part in vigorous activities and games working in teams and learning how to respect their own and each other's strengths and abilities. The activities include fundamental movement skills including hopping, skipping and running at different speeds as well as their ability to focus at appropriate times. Loom Band Creations gr 2,3,4,5 Ms Elsie P – Room 70 (Spanish Room) – 2.50-3.50 pm – 14 students During this activity students use their imagination to create anything they wish using colourful rubber bands in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Unique jewellery from bracelets, necklaces, rings and even 3 dimensional figures are created which can then be taken home when completed. MONDAYS Children’s Book Illustrations gr 1,2 / 3,4,5 Mr Esteban A - Elementary Art Room -, gr 1,2 - 2.50-3.50 pm, gr 3,4,5 - 3.50-4.50 - 10 Students In most of the fully illustrated children’s books we know, an alternative narrative appears as a result of the combination between text and illustrations. Words and images might agree on certain aspects of the story, and differ in others. Sometimes what the drawings reveal the text conceal, and vice-versa. The aim of this club is for students to identify and make use of the different discourses inhabiting an illustrated book. Based on an existing tale or an original story, each student will be encouraged to create their own book. They will learn strategies to effectively distribute the information throughout their book while building up to a climax as graphic narrators. By the end of the trimester the students will have had explored storytelling through drawing, writing, and editing in a playful and stress free environment. Moreover, they will have their own album-book to take home. French Knitting - gr 3,4,5 Ms Misa K - Room 101 (EAL Gd 2) - 2.50-3.50 pm- 14 Students Would you like to learn how to French knit using a special homemade knitting holder? French knitting is for boys and girls who like to make pretty and useful things out of yarn. TUESDAYS Beginning Dance gr 1 Ms Jana K -- Multi-Purpose Room - 3.00-- 4.00 p.m., 20 students max. Students will learn basic steps of various techniques including Modern Dance, Jazz Dance, Contemporary, Ballet, etc. Dancers will have fun learning these basics and putting them together with music in short routines that develop their memory and teamwork. They will have an opportunity to find their own improvisation style. This class will help students to improve co- ordination, stamina, technique, rhythm and Modern Dance gr 5 body alignment. Contact details: [email protected] Little Chefs 1 - gr 1,2 Ms Zuzana G – Cafeteria – 3.00-4.30 pm – PAID ACTIVITY “Cooking is without doubt one of the most important skills a person can learn. Learning to cook, children find healthy eating principles easier to understand and apply them throughout their lives.” Jamie Oliver Our cooking sessions will run until the December break increasing your child´s attitude, knowledge, skills and confidence in relation to cooking and gardening based on the ‘Slow Food’ philosophy, Jamie Oliver´s Food Revolution and Kitchen Garden program. The Little Chefs develop good habits and learn to co-operate and build a team spirit. Last but not least, cooking is all about fun. The Little Chefs is a paid activity.
