Anointing of the Sick: Anyone in danger of death from a serious illness, an emergency situation or from advanced age ought to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. If you know, in advance, that you will be entering the hospital for a procedure, it is preferred that you receive the Anointing prior to entering the hospital.
