DAUGHTER Elena Tonra, Igor Haefeli and Remi Aguilella met while studying at ICMP and now perform under the band name of Daughter. After signing a deal with record label 4AD, they went on to perform on the Late Show with David Letterman, and their debut album, ‘If You Leave’, charted at Number 16 in the UK and won ‘Album of the Year’ at the Association of Independent Music Awards in 2013. They supported Ben Howard on a string of dates in the US and have completed DAUGHTER headline tours of the UK, North America and Australia. 2016 saw them release their second album ‘Not To Disappear’. They are signed to 4AD in Europe and Glassnote in North America.

LUKE PATTERSON (CLEAN BANDIT) Luke, an ICMP drums graduate, has achieved immense chart success with his band Clean Bandit. The band maintained the UK Number 1 status for three weeks with their hit ‘Rather Be’, beating competition from Beyoncé and Will.i.am for the top spot. In 2015, the track also won the group a Grammy Award for ‘Best Dance Recording’. In 2016, the band released the single ‘Rockabye’ featuring Sean Paul and Anne-Marie, which became their second UK Number 1 and was a huge hit all around the world, closely followed by their third UK Number 1 in 2017, ‘Symphony’ featuring Zara Larsson. LUKE PATTERSON (CLEAN BANDIT) ÁRNI ÁRNASON (THE VACCINES) While studying at ICMP, Árni played with Sony/ RCA-signed artists Judie and Bailey Tzuke, as well as The New Devices and Jay Jay Pistolet. Along with Pistolet, Árni formed The Vaccines, whose first album, ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?’, was the UK’s bestselling debut album of 2011. Their second album, ‘Come of Age’, reached Number 1 in the UK charts and went ‘gold’ in three weeks. The Vaccines have toured widely in the UK, Europe and the US, and played at the Reading and Leeds Festivals, Glastonbury and in Hyde Park. They have supported Arctic Monkeys, Muse and the Rolling Stones. They released their successful album ‘English Graffiti’ in 2015, and are currently recording its follow up. 12 Prospectus 2018•19 FRASER T SMITH Fraser, who studied at ICMP in the 1990s, is a globally renowned award-winning record producer, songwriter, mix engineer and guitarist. He is responsible for hit songs such as James Morrison’s ‘Broken Strings’, and ’s ‘Number 1’, ‘Take Me Back’ and ‘Never Leave You’. ‘Break Your Heart’, written and produced with Taio Cruz, spent three weeks at Number 1 in the UK charts. Fraser also wrote the song ‘Set Fire To The Rain’ for international superstar Adele on her Grammy Award-winning album ‘21’. More recently he has produced and written songs for Sam Smith’s Number 1 album ‘In The Lonely Hour’, the Kaiser Chiefs’ Number 1 album FRASER T SMITH ‘Education, Education, Education & War’, and Lily Allen’s Number 1 album ‘Sheezus’.

JIHEA OH Jihea is a Korean bass player and a graduate of ICMP’s Higher Diploma and Degree courses. During her studies, she built up a wide portfolio of session work and is now one of the busiest session players on the scene. Jihea has toured regularly with Labrinth, The Gadsdens, Hillsong and Nicola Roberts, to name but a few, and has toured Europe, Asia and the US extensively. She has performed in every major arena in the UK, including and at the Royal Albert Hall, and has recently performed with Cher Lloyd and Ozark Henry. Jihea is currently Ellie Goulding’s bassist (and synth player) of choice.
