Being the only child in my family, I’m close to my cousins, and it is a wonderful opportunity to catch up with one another, organise a movie outing or have a meal together. CNY also brings a bit of poignancy to us though, as we would remember our beloved late grandmother, and resolve to stay close-knit as she had always wished. I hope this festive occasion will be an equally meaningful one for you, dear members, to be in touch with loved ones and relatives you haven’t had enough time for. Keppel Club too, is a big family of members and staff, so do come enjoy a reunion with us at our CNY Lou Hei event on Sunday, Feb 25 at the Swimming Pool Annex. Soak in the celebratory mood from the lion dance performance, take a selfie with the God of Fortune, hopefully, for some monetary luck, and make a lucky mess with the Lou Hei. Huat ah! But perhaps just a day before that, come try your luck first by participating in our annual Fa Cai Challenge Trophy, now no longer exclusive to lady golfers. Enjoy a good game followed by a delectable dinner. Also on the golf front, our juniors had done us proud again in last year-end season of tournaments, including the Faldo Series, SICC/DBS, HSBC and Warren-MST games. Going forward, the Club will be focusing attention on developing its pool of juniors, such as through the Junior Camp held last November. Finally, don’t miss out the CNY promotions our restaurants are dangling. We have good news too: Joining us soon is the Fukuya Japanese Restaurant at the lobby level. I’m sure it is as welcomed as all that yummy sushi, sashimi, etc to come. I hope you enjoy this bumper, first 2018 issue of Keppel Links. As usual, feel free to send us your feedback, if any, to: The Editor, Keppel Links, 10 Bukit Chermin Road, Singapore 109918, or via www.keppelclub.com.sg/Contact-Us-- Feedback. Gong xi fa cai!
