Tamer Levent Tamer Levent was born on October 13th, 1950, in Izmir. He was known as Turkish actor, director, art director and author. In 1971, He got into Ankara State Conservatory, with placement test. In 1977, He graduated from Ankara State Conservatory. He previously performed works as an actor and later as a director in State Theaters. He held office as general director and assistant general director in State Theaters. The plays he directed, were invited to the festivals in Russia, Canada, South Korea, Iran and Northern Cyprus. He is still in director staff in State Theaters and he is the founder and first general director of TOBAV (State Theatre, Opera and Ballet Employees Foundation) and TOMEB (Theatre Actors' Union). He gave "Creative Acting" lectures in Ankara University Faculty of Educational Sciences, Eskişehir Anadolu University, University of New York, Universitat der Künste Berlin, Yorkshire Bretton Hall College and Warwick University.He was found in committees and congresses, where the theater meetings' -which were organized by European Parliament in Belgium, Luxembourg and Hungary- principles were created. He directed serial workshops.Tamer Levent, who made workshops in Tunisia and France for long years and make the results turn into a performance, made TV shows and drama works for radio and TV.He aired a live-communication program, called Gecenin Icinden (From Inside of the Night), on TRT Radyo-1 channel. He made China and India documentaries. He directed drama workshops in several countries. Press Release: Nordic Council Film Prize 2018 Published 21.8.2018, 13.30 CET FIVE NORDIC FILMS HAVE BEEN NOMINATED FOR THE NORDIC COUNCIL FILM PRIZE 2018 Haugesund International Film Festival, August 21st. Today five films from the five Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) have been announced as candidates for the Nordic Council Film Prize 2018 – a much coveted prize that has been awarded for the 15th time. In the field we see several well-known directors, such as Joachim Trier, Benedikt Erlingsson and Hlynur Palmason, whose films have all premiered in some of the most important international film festivals in 2017 and 2018. It also supported the completion of 16 digital features. The NZFC provided strategic, logistical and financial support in the form of prints and advertising grants for seven new NZ features released in New Zealand cinemas during the year. Taika Waititi’s Contents feature filmBoy premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. It was awarded the Grand Prix award in the Generation Section of the Berlin Film Festival in February 2010 and went on to become the highest grossing NZ film of all time with a box office of more than $9 million. Gaylene Preston’s filmHome By Christmas enjoyed a highly successful cinematic release reaching $1.15 million box office. The film was nominated for 10 Qantas Film Awards. Independently financed feature documentaryThis Way of Life, directed by Tom Burstyn and produced by Sumner Burstyn, received a Special Mention in the Generation Section at the Berlin Film Festival.
