Ward 34 - Training should be imparted on how to segregate wet and dry waste at Shivabagh source; footpaths need to be repaired on priority. We are looking forward to the set-up of Ward Committees. Ward 41 - Central Proper separation of wet and dry waste has to be made mandatory in all Market parts of Mangalore Ward 38 - Kindly please make use of the budget according to the right need. No other solution for parking irks. Smart city funds must be smartly utilized for the benefit. Construct and manage public toilets. Unauthorized stone cutting is being done in Maroli near Yamuna Residency apartment, with the blessings of politicians. simultaneously in one area example Bendur it creates lots of traffic. Ward 29 - Currently we have almost all Raja Kaluves (storm drains) flooded with Kambla untreated sewage water. This needs to stop. Also, provide parking and earn from these spaces instead of collecting fines. Ward 44 - Bunder Keep sufficient drinking water because many people's don't receive drinking water Ward 29 - Roads have to be made better. The space should be kept for footpaths so Kambla that the people can walk and this can avoid accidents as well. Ward 16 - Bangra The city corporation must strive to provide parking facilities in places Kuloor with dense commercial activities. Ward 46 - Clean city (without any problem facing Mangaluru citizens.) Cantonment Ward 16 - Bangra The Kottara-Chowki junction is an extremely difficult place to navigate Kuloor through to get to the road leading to Bangra Kuloor/Mahesh PU college area. Although there is Police placed there, nobody helps the vehicles that require crossing. Kindly do something in this regard Ward 30 - More leisure facilities for kids Kodialbail Ward 40 - Court The city corporation should start focusing on using rain water harvesting and solar electricity now Ward 31 - Bejai Footpaths have to be elderly friendly as well. Being in a social work field many elderly complain that they feel unsafe to walk on them. Ward 39 - Falnir Please call all before making any budget because I don't see any development in our area for last few years so please understand please Ward 31 - Bejai Proper Parking facilities Ward 37 - Maroli Eradicate beggars... Ward 31 - Bejai Parking space should be provided. Ward 31 - Bejai 1. City needs multi-level parking hub for every kilometre inside central business area on priority. 2. Police Station limits has to be restructured and ward wise small Police Outpost to be opened to meet the emergency situations of the civilians. Ward 46 - Clean city (without any problem facing Mangaluru citizens) Cantonment Ward 47 - Our roads and footpaths should be elderly and disabled friendly...traffic Milagres movement should be better managed with strict zebra crossing to help people walking to cross the road easily and safely. Ward 18 - Kavoor Any work there should be coordination between other departments. Responsibility on quality work should be fixed on engineer and contractor. Any loss should be recovered from them. Wasting on digging of new concrete should be avoided. Water charges should be reduced.

The commercial buildings in Surathkal do not have toilets, due to (West) which the employees there come to the neighboring residential areas to urinate all the time
2. The roads that have been constructed are dug up now and then, thereby wasting public funds.
3. The roads are constructed without proper storm-water drains which will lead to artificial flooding
4. The waste collection is not regular

The youth should get chance to be present during the MCC meetings and the MCC should take suggestions from them. The city corporation should make some special events for the youths were they will be interested in public service during the construction work of concrete damar public uses the Corporator has to take the help of the public. Multilevel parking at Hampankatte, cornice road all sides of netravati and gurupur rivers in the city limits, digital signals and CCTV camera at all junctions, elevated corridor between jyoti and State Bank, road bridge at Sultana battery to tanner bhavi, metro between suratkal and deralakatte via city.
Ward 9 - Kulai Please take strict decision against clean city Ward 33 - Kadri 1. More trees. 2. Rain water usage instead of letting it to the sea 3. Traffic (South) lane discipline Ward 22 - Kadri If anyone wants Mangalore city to grow, the city should never sleep first (Padavu) of all. Mangalore should be open 24*7 in selected areas, may be from kottara entry to jeppina mogeru entry as a business area, one side of the highway as business district. Police should work in shifts, you never ask inputs or advice from Police dept in keeping city open for 24*7 as they will object for sure. Because, they don't want to take any risk nor they want to work 24*7 in shifts.
City is considered full pledged city only when it operates 24*7. Bars should close at 12 midnight and people who drink and create public nuisance should be punished with hefty fines or jail up to six months.
All the best. Ward 56 - Focus should be on creating jobs by getting more companies to our city Mangaladevi and develop beaches to attract more tourists to our city. Ward 23 - Please work on street lights as well as they provide so much support for Derebail (East) people working after dark /night. More CCTV cameras or roads , safety and security Ward 32 - Kadri City must look more attractive by giving public awareness and keeping (North) city neat and clean. City bus facility - for a person from Kuntikana to KPT or Kadri or Bejai Church is not available. People dumping wastes on either sides of NH, mainly between Kuntikhana and KPT must be tracked through CCTV and many more such options needed Ward 22 - Kadri There should be high importance towards beach development. Look at (Padavu) Padubidri beach and look at M’lore beaches. Beaches should be highly commercialised in order to generate tourism revenue and employment opportunities. Mlore beaches are not upto standards in any ways. Need to give space to public and toilets, eateries, changing room and entertainment on the beaches. Mloreans lack, time pass places for weekend. District administration should put efforts to create lot of time pass areas or places for weekend, to people to come out and spend. When public spend economy improves, that's the simple equation. Ward 56 - Kindly make access the citizens to pay all taxes, bills etc through on-line Mangaladevi basis regularly or make one day ward wise counter for all taxes & bills. Ward 56 - Whatever you do. Do it properly and always complete works in the city. Mangaladevi Please don't use public money to your private works. Ward 17 - Mangalore Budget should be allotted to every field including education Derebail (North) as well. Ward 58 - Bolar Parking has been a major concern all across the city. Secondly names of the roads are not visible anywhere. We need to follow the system like Bangalore where every road every street every cross roads have a name board, a proper visible one using colour codes. Ward 59 - Jeppu The quality of the drinking water is abysmal. Especially after rainfall. The water turns muddy after just a couple of bouts of rain. Attach a extra step on the local private city buses so that people with knee pain and old people can climb peacefully ( same like government buses) Make some paid public toilets with water and one staff to clean it. Ward 38 - Prioritisation should be given for all options instead of just 3. Bendoor Ward 14 - MUDA has taken over City Corporation Layout but according to that Marakada Taxes are levied on Citizens. But we are not getting even basic infrastructure like Clean Drinking Water (water which we get is in fact not Water it's MUD). If pipeline is broken at any place then we literally harassed for water as there is no other options available for us.
For 01 Street Light Pole requesting since 03 years meanwhile 01 AEE even retired and new Person telling Smart City work going on and we will be getting LED LIGHTs but when ?? God also may don't Know, the way officials are replying.
For Kavoor being Junction area only 01 route has BUS STOP and 03 route people literally stand in rain and sun light.... Concerned Authorities don't even respond on such issues even reminding them again and again.
Again Public Toilet not available at this Junction anywhere saying there is no place but we have place for Indira Canteen??? Ward 44 - Bunder Keep big dumpsters as in old days used to be. Ward 26 - Parking spaces in city Derebail (South - West) Ward 24 - Kindly request u to provide us a road access to our house which is not Derebail (South) available in spite of paying all taxes on time year after year .... Ward 25 - First, work on entire city planning, then add a budget with importance Derebail (West) given to Water supply, Drainage, Cable management, Underground electricity then the roads and footpath. Ward 43 - Public Park Kudroli Ward 31 - Bejai Give contracts to companies that can deploy efficient workers equipped with better tools and machinery in order to complete the work sooner and in an organized & neat manner. Ward 48 - 1) Good footpaths are required for safety of all citizens. Currently some
Kankanady of them are occupied by vendors, stalls, etc. Some of them have slabs Valencia which are shaky and can tip - referring to footpath at the side of Valencia park. 2) Clean public toilets are a must for every city, these must be cleaned every day. 3) Waste Management - for a clean city, waste dumped on the road side, gutters, etc. must be cleaned every day. Provide bins where people can dump their wastes. Mentioned that you selected for this. But till now no response. Please start application for Homeless and Rented peoples , Ward 15 - Urinals at public places Kunjathbail (South) Ward 27 - Boloor Cost for the use of public toilets should decrease Ward 21 - Thank you Padavu (West) Ward 33 - Kadri Please revive private open wells. Faulty drainage system has (South) contaminated many wells in Kadri Kaibattal area. Ward 33 - Kadri Properly implement the laws and take action/penalize the citizens who (South) waste water, throw garbage and encroach government properties Ward 28 - Please restructure the solid waste management infrastructure. Mannagudda Mangalore is becoming a garbage city these days. Ward 49 - In my area drainage work still not done. And connection also not Kankanady allowed . It's very uncomfortable to every citizen living here Ward 12 - Require proper drainage, footpaths, double road is stopped midway due Panjimogaru to political issues, drainage is flowing in the streets, this is an Airport road and is worse than a rural road Ward 36 - For making disabled toilets , disabled friendly and parks, wheel chair Padavu (East) accessible areas etc Ward 12 - Hopeless municipality Panjimogaru Ward 23 - Traffic is getting bad and that has to be solved Derebail (East) Ward 18 - Kavoor Make footpath and more market Ward 37 - Maroli Please look after people throwing waste on road side heavy fine must be imposed Ward 56 - More traffic signal to control traffic jam Mangaladevi Ward 33 - Kadri 1. Footpaths to be raised so that vehicles are not parked on them. (South) 2. Parking slots to be marked so that vehicles do not park haphazardly. 3. Footpath vendors shout not be allowed. Ward 24 - Stop Crackers breaking and microphones after 10pm even religious and Derebail (South) social functions. If made complete crackers free is more ideal to avoid pollution normally creatures resting time.
Ward 41 - Central Parking and traffic discipline to be improved. The corporation water Market facility is little or none on one side of the Vithobha Temple Road for nearly 10 years now. Ward 49 - Request for disabled toilets, wheelchair accessible areas and disabled Kankanady friendly parks !! Ward 40 - Court To have ward committees to discuss problems of their ward to resolve through working hand in hand with corporation Ward 38 - Drainage system needs more funds so that main line which is Stoneware Bendoor pipeline which is about 50 years older and passed in narrow lanes and between private compounds should be Changed with new upgraded pipeline and Manholes which is an utmost important work to be carried out by the Corporation with immediate effect. Encourage people to get involved in planting trees. Ward 31 - Bejai Please fix the roads. (1) Regular maintenance of roads/footpath & creation of more parking space. (Frequent cutting/digging up of concrete roads is highly objectionable and shall be avoided at all costs. Please examine the possibility of laying an underground system below road dividers, through which insulated electric cables, water supply piles and cooking gas pipes etc can pass)
(2) Regular garbage disposal
(3) Construction/maintenance of public toilets, bus stops etc.( During the past several years hundreds of trees were cut and scores of bus shelters were destroyed while widening roads. MCC has to take urgent steps for replace the trees and bus shelters)
instead of wasting public money eon useless beautification projects like the clock tower, it shall be spent on increasing parking spaces, smoothening traffic flow, constructing toilets etc Ward 25 - For all wards budget amount allocated & for what works it is allocated Derebail (West) should be available in the website of the Mangalore City Corporation. Also the status of the work (completion) should be updated every month so that citizens are aware what development works are going on in the wards. Contact details & names of the corporation officials who are responsible for the work should also be available. Ward 33 - Kadri Wastebaskets to dispose material wastes such as plastic, paper, and even (South) bio should be placed frequently inside the city. A call to a clean city solely won't make a clean city, proper infrastructure should be made to enable a 'clean city' life style for the civilians of Mangalore. A clean and beautiful footpath will add beauty. A seat of clean public toilets will add
to not only a clean but also a hygiene city. Ward 31 - Bejai Any healthy city need to have good footpaths for pedestrian movement. Unfortunately city planners seem to have not realised its importance while laying or widening roads. Good footpaths will encourage people to walk and keep them healthy. It will also cut down pollution and accidents Ward 22 - Kadri Kindly plan for pedestrian crossing bridge near Nanthoor bus stop (Padavu) Ward 38 - 1.What you mention in the budget, kindly implement it without any Bendoor delay or duplication 2.Keep monitoring whether the work is going to be done 3.Concetrate all the areas like roads.. water.. electricity...cleanliness etc Ward 21 - 1. Don't wait for the roads to fall into utter disrepair before you repair Padavu (West) them. 2. Do not favour an area over another for providing facilities. Ward 38 - To provide necessary facilities for the disabled specially lying on the Bendoor street. So many cats are being killed by speeding vehicles. As a concerned citizen I get all stray cats in the region spayed/neutered regularly ...imagine the pain when those strays then get killed or maimed by callous vehicle drivers who have no concern for animals. Roads are broadened here plz get humps done as well. Ward 34 - My corporator is not contactable. Shivabagh Ward 58 - Bolar I demand the city corporation to compete the already started work without delay and not compromising the quality. And also to give a proper finishing to the already started work Ward 33 - Kadri Please ensure there is transparency in all tenders, their disbursements, (South) quality of the work and payments. Kickbacks/bribe offered or received
parties should be taken to task and no further work provided to contractor and the official should be demoted or suspended. There is illegal parking of both two wheelers and four wheelers on the road in front of Ratna Apartments which is opposite Car Decor in Kadri, this should be curbed. Thank you all for the great efforts you are taking to ensure the Smart City project is not a curse on Mangaloreans as the costs will have to be borne by us the citizens in the end which the public really do not understand which will definitely become a burden in the near future. Thank you! Ward 45 - Port The rain water drain pits on the concreted roads leading rain water to rain water drains under d footpaths are getting choked with debris. Thus preventing draining of rain water draining from the roads & creating artificial floods on the roads. These to be cleared before the rainy season starts. A better alternate draining system to be installed. Ward 4 - High priority to have CCTV at regular intervals and at all critical entry / Katipalla exit points. (Krishnapura) Ward 32 - Kadri Property tax and water bill should be reduced. To apply for land (North) conversion, single site and getting permission for constructing house should be made online and the payment also made online or DD so that brokers or middlemen should not demand bribe. At present without bribe we cannot obtain above documents. Strict law should be implemented and punish those who involved in such activities. Ward 53 - Bajal Please make arrangements for rain water flow along with above requirements at Pallakere area in Bajal ward. Ward 28 - Foot path not completed fully. There are gaping holes which have to Mannagudda immediately covered with slabs to prevent people from falling/ stepping into them. Immediate check in this regard is called for and rectified. Quality of concreting work by the smart city project is clearly suspect and of poor quality. Let us be honest and make our dear city a truly smart one. Every mangalorean should be proud of it. Ward 23 - Dust free roadside & wide roads, noise pollution made by buses should Derebail (East) be banned. All signals must be working. Ward 38 - 1) Plant medicinal and large amount oxygen generating trees like Bendoor Ashwatha, tulasi, shady plants to control pollution of city, for healthy air please. Please don't cut trees
2) Kindly raise the footpaths with railings so that people don't park vehicles in walking area, people need more exercise, walking in city area
3) Kindly encourage and promote Ayurvedic juice centres for common people
4) Kindly appoint traffic polices to control vehicles near crossing zebra roads
5)Take out all provoking advertisements, let them be in malls etc not in roadside, encourage good thoughts, education, health tips on boundary walls.
7) Develop parks , for people in flats, to have good health of mind body, to avoid depression in youth. Thank you .God bless you. Ward 39 - Falnir Please plant more trees and try to avoid cutting down old trees in the name of new roads. Children find Pachanady so difficult to go to school. Please do the needful Ward 40 - Court The choice is limited, the question asked are all pertaining to basic priority and all need to be addressed. Ward 28 - Need to have at least 2 huge public park & one swimming pool in each Mannagudda ward Ward 46 - Ward committee to be consulted Cantonment Ward 31 - Bejai There are absolutely no foot paths across most of the roads in Mangalore. Ward 38 - I guess it's a dream of every Mangalorean to see Mangalore listed Bendoor among the smartest cities in India...Unfortunately there are lot of things in Mangalore which does not make this possible.... 1) Right people should take up important positions. The decision makers should be the ones who have a lot of interest in making Mangalore a smart city.... 2)Smart city does not mean having taller buildings, bigger malls or wider roads.... There has to be adequate nature, vegetation, greenery too along with the manmade concrete structures....

These are not just my opinions, but am sure everybody will agree, The suggestion's don't cost billions of dollars to fund & implement, but with a few lakhs can change the look & mental well-being of the citizens of mangalore Okay, Here goes 1).Parks in every neighbourhood to cater to seniors, families & children for exercise & socialising. 2) Bollard/Interlocked tiles with guard rail for safe pedestrian movement along each and every major/minor/interior road- vendor/hawker free . 3) Hawkers to be set up at designated zones with fssai/corporation licence & adhere to rules & regulations. 4)Multi-tier car/two wheeler parking towers to be erected at all commercial/semi commercial/residential areas. There should be no parking on the roads to facilitate smooth movement of traffic. All vehicles-4/2/3 wheeler's to be paid parked in multi-story parking towers & owners need to pay for it. Having good pedestrian movement will allow owner's to walk around form these car parks for shopping & for other utilities. This also helps retails business to get good footfalls. People need to be seen & like to be seen. Hope this fact impresses the authorities

6)The entire 4 km thannirabavi beach road is in pathetic condition. The above mentioned promenade idea can be implemented on this 4 km stretch and people can just stop by for an hour or so & return back. Should be well lit with modern lighting & the place should look like marine drive in bombay.

All buses to be maintained with daily wash & have proper RTO documents providing a safe & peaceful journey for our citizens. 12) The size of Kadri park need's to be doubled & the entire landscaping needs to be overhauled. It should be known as the green lung of mangalore. The entire outer fence area needs to be developed on promanade style with interlocked tiles/ bollards/ seating arrangements & FSSAI/GST licenced cafe's for people to enjoy tea & snacks while watching the traffic flow by.
Request: Kindly stay away from the four/two wheeler admiration, awe. We have had enough of pandering to these two classes of people with concrete roads (which has increased the temperature of the city) and made a general mess of the density/parking issues.
