Anerkjent norsk reddet minst to menneskeliv i andre verdenskrig. En statue filmregissør, født og oppvokst i Honningsvåg. I 2008 ble Jensen av Bamse står i Honningsvåg vendt mot Montrose, Skottland utnevnt til Ridder 1. klasse av Den Kongelige Norske St. Olavs der Bamse er gravlagt.
