Mousehole Reserves and Mousehole Women’s results are on page 27 02 35 Tim Richardson: Chairman’s Welcome Hello to you all for our last home match of the season, against our visitors Plymstock United from the other side of Plymouth. Always a difficult side to beat, they have had their best season for over ten years, finishing 3rd on this occasion. The First team have one match left after today, next Saturday at Vospers Oak Villa, who were relegated on Saturday as they now cannot catch up with second -bottom Penzance. Vospers suffered in 2015 from the sudden departure of the management team and half their first-team squad after finishing runners-up (sounds familiar?), and in their case they never fully recovered.. Since our last home match against Dobwalls ten days ago, which we lost 2-1 in a game which yet again could have gone either way (see match report on page 11), we went to sunny Bude Town on Saturday and came way with an impressive 3-0 win against all the odds - only 11 players available, no substitutes, two injuries during the match, a heroic team performance, a first win for three calendar months, and a clean sheet! After all the massive problems since Christmas - none of their own making - Steve and the lads fully deserved this and they made us feel very proud (match report is on page 7). The biggest victims of the January upheaval have been the Reserves. With more than half a dozen regular first-teamers either leaving in January or unwilling to turn out, the gaps had to be filled by players from the Reserves, leaving Harry’s side short of numbers and THIS SEASON’S WEST DIVISION CLUBS experience at Trelawny League level. As a result - and despite their best efforts - the Reserves are now on the brink of relegation, having found the run-in just too much. They’ll Grounds, postcodes & distances (from Trungle Parc) be safe only if Penryn crash in their last four games, or something happens at the AGM - both probably unlikely. So, spare a thought for the Reserves - but I’ve got no doubt they've got the character to bounce back next season (see page 13). PENZANCE: Penlee Park. TR18 4NE. 2 miles. PORTHLEVEN: Gala Parc. ANNUAL REVIEW 2015/2016 Gwytha ha Crefhe! 30 years preserving and strengthening our Cornish heritage In the early 1980’s there was a growing concern that too much of the Cornish heritage was under threat from potential private buyers. Two such sites were Land’s End and Lamorna Cove and there was no organisation in Cornwall with the ability to raise the funds required to save the sites. On the 19th February 1983 a group of people got together with the idea of forming such an organisation with the aim of saving buildings, ancient artifacts and important heritage sites. It was the irst of regular meetings, held at the Royal Hotel in Truro, and the Oficers elected were Acting Chairman The Honourable Robert Eliot, Acting Vice Chairman Mrs June Lander, Secretary Mr John Menhinick, Assistant Secretary Mr Jack Spry and the Treasurer Mr Tim Le Grice. At the meeting it was unanimously agreed that Mr Kenneth Kendall be elected as the irst Patron. Subsequent meetings eventually resulted in the Our Education portfolio includes projects with Primary appointments of The Honourable Robert Eliot as Chairman schools and the funding of transport for class visits to with Mrs Moira Tangye as Vice Chairman, The Hon. N f\A - S oo-Ha (jO$*\z'3'Z2 Environmental Protection Final Draft Report RIVER WATER QUALITY 1992 CLASSIFICATION BY DETERMINAND May 1993 Water Quality Technical Note FWS/93/005 Author: R J Broome Freshwater Scientist NRA CV.M. Davies National Rivers A h ority Environmental Protection Manager South West Region RIVER WATER QUALITY 1992 CLASSIFICATION BY DETERMINAND 1. INTRODUCTION River water quality is monitored in 34 catchments in the region. Samples are collected at a minimum frequency of once a month from 422 watercourses at 890 locations within the Regional Monitoring Network. Each sample is analysed for a range of chemical and physical determinands. These sample results are stored in the Water Quality Archive. A computerised system assigns a quality class to each monitoring location and associated upstream river reach. This report contains the results of the 1992 river water quality classifications for each determinand used in the classification process. 2. RIVER WATER QUALITY ASSESSMENT The assessment of river water quality is by comparison of current water quality against River Quality Objectives (RQO's) which have been set for many river lengths in the region. Individual determinands have been classified in accordance with the requirements of the National Water Council (NWC) river classification system which identifies river water quality as being one of five classes as shown in Table 1 below: TABLE 1 NATIONAL WATER COUNCIL - CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM CLASS DESCRIPTION 1A Good quality IB Lesser good quality 2 Fair quality 3 Poor quality 4 Bad quality The classification criteria used for attributing a quality class to each criteria are shown in Appendix 1.
