(Art 3) The seven people who will become the Mighty Neen first met in Trostenwald in 835 PD. Later, when the carnival suddenly became violent, seven of them worked together to defeat the threat of the undead, and found themselves embroiled in a local investigation. They formed an alliance to clear their names, and then decided to go together to zadash after that. Yasha alone did not leave Trostenwald with the rest of the group, and was prone to disappearing on her own case for several time. However, the group made a point of meeting her whenever they could. (Out of character, Yashah's absence was due to the frequent conflicts of Ashley Johnson's Planning.) Adventures edit edit source Fan Art Mighty Nein, Max Beech Creative. (Art 4) On the way to zadash, the party passed through the town of Alfield when it was under siege by a flock of Gnolls. The group helped Crownsguard repel the attack and then tracked the gnolls to a nearby abandoned mine. With the help of a mysterious human cleric named Shakeste, they cleared the mine of the ghales and rescued several townspeople from Alfield who had been captured. Chapter 10: Gentleman's Agreement (editing by Editing) Caleb described the new batch as a motley group of. In the town of zadash, the group clashed with various factions: the local Crownsguard, the Righteous Brand, the dissenters known as the Knights of the Requithal, and a local criminal authority known as the Gentleman. After doing a few odd jobs, the party finally decided to team up with the gentleman, agreeing to do two jobs for him north of town. On the way to his first task in Labenda Swamp, the party encountered a defenseless girl Kenku named Kiri. They decided to take her with them and protect her. The official portrait of Calianne, Ari. They accomplished their task (providing a safe house owned by the Gentleman's Organization) with the help of a draconian named Calianna. They also helped Cali achieve his goal of finding and destroying the ritual cup used for contact with Tiamat. In the tunnels under the safe, party discovered a mysterious yellow ball. As soon as Fjord touched the ball, he had a vision of his former captain and mentor, Vandran, absorbing the same ball. The rest of the Mighty Nein saw Fjord push the ball into his chest and absorb it. When he came out of the vision, Fjord did not know what he had done. Later, the yellow eye of the same color as the ball appeared in the handle of the Fjord sword. On the way to the second task in Shadycreek Run, they passed through the town of Hupperdook and found a new home for Kiri. Chapter 11: Iron and Coast Editing Source Continuing on the way to Shadycreek Run, half of the party (Fjord, Jester, and Yash) were kidnapped by a group of slavers known as The Iron Shepherds. (Of character, Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham were absent for several episodes after the birth of their child. Ashley Johnson was absent because of her filming schedule in New York.) Official portrait of Keg, Ari. (Art 6) Keg, a gnome fighter and former member of the Iron Shepherds, joined the party to avenge the Iron Shepherds for killing her friend. Beau, Caleb, Keg, Molly and Noth went to Scheydicard to escape to find and rescue their friends. At the same time, Knott considered Caleb the de facto leader of the Mighty Neen. During an attempt to ambush the iron shepherds Lorenzo (their leader) managed to kill Mollymouk after he lost consciousness from his own Bloody Maledict. The official portrait of Nelya, Ari. (Art 7) Beau, Caleb, Keg and Noth buried Molly and then continued to flee to Scheydirik. They were joined by Neal, a firbolg druid whose friend and son were kidnapped by iron sheepdogs. Arriving at Shadycreek Run, they found that their task for the Gentleman (to help Ophelia Mardun, by eliminating the iron shepherds, overlaps with their own goal of saving their kidnapped friends. They sought the help of Kaduchus Clay, a clergyman who lived and cared for a nearby cemetery. The group (now consisting of Bo, Caduseus, Caleb, Keg, Nila and Nota) made their way to Acid Nest, the headquarters of the Iron Shepherds. After defeating some of the iron shepherds, they found Neal's assistant and son in the basement. Neal left to escort them home. Moving on to the basement, the party discovered that their old friend Shakeste was also imprisoned. With his help, the party defeated Lorenzo and the rest of the iron shepherds. The fjord, Shooter and Yasha were found alive. Shakeste went to accompany the other captives home, while the Mighty Nein and Keg stayed for the rest of the night in the Acid Nest. During the looting of the house, they found a letter from someone named Avantika hiring a criminal family to find the balloon as one fjord is absorbed. After the balloon was found, it had to be delivered to Nicodranas. Fan art Mollymouk Graves by Heather Hood. (Art 9) After spending At night with Bo, Keg sneaked in the morning. The reunited Mighty Nein accompanied Ophelia Mardun (gentleman's business partner) back to zadash. On the way, they stopped at Molly's grave so that Fjord, Jester and Yasha could pay their respects. Yasha told the party that she would find them again when she was ready and took off alone. Mighty Nein arrived safely in zadash with Ophelia, fulfilling their contract with the Gentleman. They took a week of downtime in zadash for personal projects. When they got back together, Fjord asked the group to go to Nicodranas. He wanted to know what people who wanted the balloon he absorbed knew about it. Once there, Jester introduced Mighty Nein to her mother, Marion Lavorr. The party offered to help Marion deal with Algar Dumin, an possessive client who caused her problems. During the investigation, they encountered Yash in a bar, who rejoined them. The mighty Nein discovered that the Algar was an agent of Clovis Concorde, who kept the marida (water genie) in slavery. They freed the maride and forced the Algar to leave Nicodranas. Mighty Nein went to the docks late at night, after the lead that the encounter about the ball was going on. They tried to eavesdrop, but the crew of the ship moored in the harbor noticed them and attacked them. During the ensuing battle, they were on board the ship and dropped away, leaving the city. Chapter 12: Followers of the False Snake edit the source Aboard their stolen ship, Mighty Nein discovered a map where Avantika (the pirate captain) was waiting for the yellow ball. They decided to go there to find out what Avantika knew about the balloon. They sailed back to Nicodranas, hired a crew for the ship, and then sailed to Urukayxl Island. The fjord commanded a ship (now renamed Mistake) called Captain Tustuut. Fan Art Avant-Art, BlackSalander. (Art 10) Avantika and her ship, Squall-Eater, met the mistake in Urukiksle. Communicating with Avantic, Fjord learned the identity of his patron of sorcerers - a powerful sea creature named Uk'odoa, the Great Leviathan, which was sealed for centuries. The avant-javatic (also the sorcerer Uk'odoa) intended to free him by placing three balls (called Cloven crystals) in three temples around the Lucidian Ocean. She already had one crystal, and she knew the location of the temple on Urukayxle. She gave the party little choice but to play along with his desire. The mighty Nein traveled with Avantika and Jamedi Kosko inland past the residents of the yuan-ti and the lizard into the inner chamber of the temple. Fjord and Avantica raced to place their crystals in the temple to unlock the first seal. The avant-force succeeded and was rewarded with the power to control the water. That evening, Avantic asked Fjord about his sword. She told him that she knew a man named Vadran (Fjord's mentor) who was carrying the same sword, and clove crystal. Fjord eventually agreed to work with Avantika to print Out Uk'otoa (and sleep with it). Now part of a pirate team, Mighty Nein sailed to Darkkow Island, an island controlled by a pirate alliance known as the Revelry. Avantico introduced them to Wyatt Maranos, the current Planck King of Revelry. After Jester and Noth broke into the Avantica's cabin and left obvious footprints, a fight broke out on the deck of the Squall Eater between Mighty Nein and the Avantika team. King Plank's guards broke up the fight and arrested everyone. During the next trial, Mighty Nein presented evidence that Avantika planned to overthrow King Planck with the power she would gain from the release of Uk'oth. He found her guilty of treason and executed her, but also expelled the Mighty Nein from The Island of Darktow and confiscated the mistake. They were forced to leave immediately on the badly damaged Squale-Ludoed.
