I believe the Devil (Satan) exists and is very active at this moment preparing for the arrival of Antichrist. I believe Jesus Christ is God, who came in human flesh, born of a virgin birth, and lived a sinless life. I believe in the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ I believe Jesus Christ is the only way to get to Heaven as He died for our sins. I believe in the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Bible is divinely-inspired, inerrant, and should be regarded as the authoritative source of information when compared to non-biblical sources. I believe Jesus Christ will return to rescue the elect. I believe Jesus Christ will return again following the end of the seventieth week of Daniel to redeem the surviving Jewish people who endured great hardship. Special Note I quote a lot of New Age sources and mention a lot of New Age concepts, but I am definitely not a New Ager. My beliefs are practically the same type of beliefs that you will find with many Baptist churches. The presence of these sources is just to reinforce what the Bible already makes abundantly clear (to read more about why I use these sources, read chapter three and chapter five). However, my views on certain prophecy topics are quite different than what is commonly taught. One could easily think the above paragraph came from a Hal Lindsey book warning Christians of the evil that is to come. Incredibly, such is not the case. The above quote is the summation of The Armageddon Script by Peter LeMesurier a noted pyramidologist/occultist. It is a how-to manual for New Agers and intellectuals interested in staging a simulated second coming of Christ. The script they write, if successfully staged, could deceive "even the very elect." (1) It is logical and proper to question why one might expect the average person of intelligence to support such a Page 8. scheme. To the contrary, it is precisely the intellectual whose support is being courted and won for this undertaking. The "Armageddon Script" is based upon theories popular among the intellegentsia and they are being courted by flatteries.(2). The theories behind "The Armageddon Script" will seem familiar to those studied in psychological theories.

Ill Abstract Most research indicates that almost 100% of British adults know their birth-sign. Astrology is an accepted part of popular culture and is an essential feature of tabloid newspapers and women's magazines, yet is regarded as a rival or, at worst, a threat, by the mainstream churches. Sceptical secular humanists likewise view it as a potential danger to social order. Sociologists of religion routinely classify it as a cult, religion, new religious movement or New Age belief. Yet, once such assumptions have been aired, the subject is rarely investigated further. If, though, astrology is characterised as New Age, an investigation of its nature may shed light on wider questions, such as whether many Christians are right to see New Age as a competitor in the religious market place.
