The military's head of research, General Derwent, has been accidentally infected and is slowly dying. I can't describe art, but Batman is drawn very stylistically and he's amazing! Much of his run was illustrated by Graham Nolan. Daniel Maris is patient zero. Though driven by a profit motive at first, she would, by the end of the story, be literally jumping into the fire to make sure a cure gets to the infected. This is one of two Batman stories focusing on a virus spreading through Gotham City. A little common sense should go a long way. Get A Copy. Refresh and try again. It all culminates in a rather anti-climactic deux ex machina which comes completely out of left field. Sure having various writers makes the quality jump up and down. Welcome back.
