This series is just pure over the top fun. This one wasn't as good a collection as the others, but I really did enjoy the final issue in this collection. Meanwhile, Constantine and Batman set a new trap for Superman. My one humble wish for this series: Can it just stop killing my favorite characters!? Masters of the Universe featuring a crossover with the Masters of the Universe franchise was first published on July 18, , by DC Comics. The series was well-received by critics. The argument between Superman and Batman in regards to the Joker is actually quite deep. Deadman possesses Poison Ivy and brings her to pick a fight with Swamp Thing. It's the quality of his writing that makes Injustice a must-read series and after the aforementioned first issue, it has the art to back it up. Year One to Year Four sees Superman's totalitarian regime fighting against one enemy after another:. View all 4 comments. The vision was supposed to give him clarity but he wakes up madder than ever because of what he missed. I really dug some of it that I won't go in to without spoilers but the scenes with Swamp Thing were great and heartbreaking and I did love the sweet betrayal at the end. Still, aside from a few gripes, the year comes to an entertaining conclusion. Or maybe it could be that he just ran out of ideas. Chapter Harley and Lucy visit Harley's sister. Confused, because I chose to read without reading the others.. Just like Taylor did before, with a line or a scene, every character was important with him, it didn't matter if they were only for a few pages, or if I wasn't rooting for them, the characterization and storytelling in previous volumes were brilliant. Injustice: Vol 2: Gods Among Us Year Three Writer The middle does get a little bogged down, and slows the pace considerably, but he makes up for it with a strong ending. First the Green Lanterns tried and failed to stop Superman. A sequel series to tie-in with Injustice 2 was announced at the San Diego Comic Con panel, with series creator Tom Taylor returning to write. I focus on the DC Animated Universe, the popular adaptation of DC Comics characters and concepts into all-ages programming. This adapted universe started with Batman: The Animated Series and comprised several shows on multiple networks, all of which fit into a shared universe based on their comic book counterparts. The adaptation of these properties is heavily reliant to intertextuality across DC Comics media. The shared universe developed within the television medium acted as an early example of comic book media adapting the idea of shared universes, a process that has been replicated with extreme financial success by DC and Marvel (in various stages of fruition). I address the process of adapting DC Comics properties in television, dividing it into “strict” or “loose” adaptations, as well as derivative adaptations that add new material to the comic book canon. This process was initially slow, exploding after the first series (Batman: The Animated Series) changed networks and Saturday morning cartoons flourished, allowing for more opportunities for producers to create content. References, crossover episodes, and the later series Justice League Unlimited allowed producers to utilize this shared universe to develop otherwise impossible adaptations that often became lasting additions to DC Comics publishing.

Surrounding this God was a great empty region called the Pleroma (the fullness). Beyond the Pleroma lay empty space. The God acted to fill the Pleroma through a series of emanations, a squeezing off of small portions of his/its nonphysical energetic divine material. In most accounts there are thirty emanations in fifteen complementary pairs, each getting slightly less of the divine material and therefore being slightly weaker. The emanations are called Aeons (eternities) and are mostly named personifications in Greek of abstract ideas.
