Burrell is an industry veteran and passionate teacher who prides herself on creating rustic Italian dishes that celebrate simple and pure ingredients. After graduating with a degree in English and Communication from Canisius College in Buffalo, she pursued her interest in the restaurant business by enrolling in the Culinary Institute of America. Following her graduation in 1996, she furthered her education by spending a year in Italy attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. During that year, she did apprenticeships at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and the Michelin-starred La Bottega del ‘30, a 30-seat restaurant that offered one six-course seating a night in Tuscany. It was during this period that Anne developed her true love of the Italian kitchen and grew to appreciate and understand the philosophy of Italian cuisine. BUILDING BRANDS TO THEIR BOILING POINT Upon her return to the United States in 1998, Burrell was hired as a Sous Chef at Felidia Ristorante in Manhattan alongside Lidia Bastianich. • Pastor Competes on ‘Worst Cooks In
Pastor competes on ‘Worst Cooks in America’ reality TV show Father Adam Young can think of a few failed recipes in the kitchen that might lead him to think he’d be a good contestant on the popular Food Network show “Worst Cooks in America.” The pastor of St. Paul Church in Cranston, R.I., will soon be a featured contestant on this upcoming season, which is set to premiere Aug. 4. Each season, 14 “recruits” with extremely poor cooking skills take part in a culinary boot camp led by celebrity chefs Bobby Flay and Anne Burrell, to earn a cash prize of $25,000. Earlier this year, Father Young was watching the reality show with friends and they all agreed he would fit right in on the small screen. So they looked up how to apply, and the very next day, Father Young received a response that they would love to feature him on the show. “I had to send a video application to show them my skills — or lack thereof. It was some awful chicken dish that I found in a cookbook. I had to carve up a chicken and it just didn’t come out so good. I’m pretty sure that secured my spot,” he said, laughing. Father Adam Young poses on the set of "Worst Cooks in America." (CNS photo/courtesy The Food Network) His bio on the show describes Father Young as “needing all the prayers he can get” in this competition, continuing on to say: “He has been a priest for nine years, but God seems to abandon him in the kitchen.” Some people find fixing up a meal in the kitchen to be a relaxing, therapeutic experience; not Father Young.

  • Love Letters at the Wallis Directed by Gregory Mosher 16 Performances Only! Oct 13 to 25, 2015
NEWS RELEASE Legendary Hollywood Stars ALI MACGRAW & RYAN O’NEAL Star in A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters At The Wallis Directed by Gregory Mosher 16 performances only! Oct 13 to 25, 2015 Beverly Hills, CA – (Sep 11, 2015) – They made history 45 years ago when they starred in Love Story, the most talked about film of its day--Ali MacGraw and Ryan O’Neal now reunite for Love Letters, a special theatrical tour that will make its official tour launch at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. Love Letters by celebrated American playwright A.R. Gurney is an enduring romance about first loves and second chances. It will perform Tuesay, Oct 13 through Sunday, Oct 25, (press opening Oct. 14), onstage at the Bram Goldsmith Theater at The Wallis. Love Letters is directed by two time Tony-winning director Gregory Mosher. Critical praise for Love Letters began in July during the U.S. tour’s preview Florida engagement. “The forever-linked co-stars of the 1970 movie Love Story are delivering something more than Gurney’s 1988 play: long-ago cinematic love and loss, nostalgia, the easy warmth of long-time friends,” said the Miami Herald. “In between, O’Neal and MacGraw bring Gurney’s rich characters to life in heartbreak and tears (and with lots of audible gasps from the audience). Certain truths about the heart don’t change. And neither do the chemistry and charisma of the Love Story/Love Letters stars.” About Love Letters Love Letters is the story of Andrew Makepeace Ladd III (O’Neal) and Melissa Gardner (MacGraw), two young people from similar backgrounds who take very different paths in life.
