SUBATHRA Dr.C.SUBATHRA, working as an Assistant professor of Commerc in Pioneer Kumaraswamy College, Since 2013, she has 17 years of Teaching and Administrative experience in schools, Colleges and NGO’s in Kanyakumari District from 2002 to 2019. She had awarded M.Phil in Commerce in 2007, and awarded Ph.D in Commerce from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli in 2015. Now acting as a Research Supervisor under Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tiruunelveli and Guiding M.Phil and Ph.D scholars. She had qualified for the award of JRF and NET in June 2011. About Dr. F.EFRAME SOPHIA SELVAM Dr. F. EFRAME SOPHIA SELVAM, M.Com, B.Ed, M.Phil, NET, Ph.D., graduated from Holy Cross College and S. T. Hindu College, Nagercoil. She was an outstanding student who received university ranks. She is an ardent writer, known for her poetical skills in both English and Tamil. She has written, directed and staged two biblical dramas and six villupattu on different themes. She is a highly satisfied performer of given assignment. Start-ups create an average of 2 million jobs annually. The present study focus on youth unemployment as a problem that has to be solved and whether the apt solution to it is emergence of start-ups. The main aim of the study is to find out the effect of start up schemes for encouraging youngsters into business. For the purpose of this study convenient sampling method was adopted where samples were unemployed people of age between 25-40 years. Both primary and secondary data were used for the study. Primary data are collected through questionnaire and personal interview and secondary data were collected from newspapers, journals and magazines,etc. Keywords –Unemployment, Start-Up, & Entrepreneurship INTRODUCTION Start-up is a newly emerged business venture that aims to develop a viable business model to meet a market place need or problem. A start-up business is defined as an organisation- o Incorporated for 3 years/4 years o New and existing for not more than 5 years.
