This is especially true given the unprecedented challenges the past year has presented to us all. I am grateful for the opportunity I have had to work with county and city officials who have been proactive in so many ways, to chair an incredibly dedicated board of directors, and to interact with the remarkably talented team of professional staff so committed to the well-being of the community we all serve. None of the initiatives and accomplishments that you’ll read about in this report would have been possible without our EDC investors, both public and private, and our community. I would especially like to acknowledge and give my thanks to the other executive committee members on the board: Christopher Fogal of Carr, Riggs & Ingram, serving as Chair-Elect/Treasurer; Richard Houghten of the FIU Center for Translational Science serving as Secretary; Kate Cotner of Florida Power & Light Company; Lauren Dudley of Lawnwood Regional Medical Center; Tim Moore of Indian River State College; Azlina Siegel of GL Homes; John Tompeck of the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority; and EDC President Pete Tesch.
