RECEPTION @ HORACE WILLIAMS HOUSE 2 PM TO 4 PM Horace Williams House / 610 East Rosemary Street Chapel Hill (919) 942-7818 Preservation Chapel Hill is proud to host artists Kiki Farish, Melinda Fine and Ross Ford in its February exhibition, “MURMURATIONS”. This title was chosen by the artists since it refers to the incredible phenomenon of hundreds of starlings flying in swooping, intricately coordinated patterns through the sky. All these artists capture the intuitive movement and repetitive processes present in murmurations. Kiki Farish observes and records nest like flowers with a myriad of sensual twists and turns compelling the viewer to come closer. Melinda Fine’s multi-layered animated collages project the push and pull of human complexities while Ross Ford’s dynamic abstract portraits exude human feelings and energy. Together, all three artists portray the movement and energy in life’s dance and invite the viewer to engage - an exhibition not to be missed. preservationchapelhill.org/
