International Opportunities & the Role of the International Co-ordinator - Embedding Internationalism in Your School

Monday 29 September, 9:30am to 3pm Building 2, North London Business Park (NLBP), Oakleigh Road South, London N11 1NP (see map over)

One of the key challenges facing schools is how to embed and sustain their international work. This full day conference will provide an overview of the range of international programmes open to schools including the Erasmus+ and Connecting Classrooms Programme as well as providing guidance and strategies for International co-ordinators on developing a whole school approach.

Aims of the day:  To explore the range of international opportunities available to schools and school staff  The International School Award (ISA) – Applying for accreditation & involving colleagues  To outline the role of an effective International Co-ordinator  Developing a whole school ethos - Embedding global learning across the curriculum  Developing an International / Global Dimension Policy – Ensuring a sustainable approach  To provide participants with practical resources & example activities

Travelling to the North London Business Park (NLBP) Building 2 North London Business Park Oakleigh Road South London N11 1NP

Buses: 34 (from Barnet to Walthamstow, via and Edmonton)

Bus 251 (from Edgware to Arnos Grove Station). These run every 8 and 15 minutes respectively, and stop right outside main entrance, only a two minute walk from the building. No.221 (Stops near ). 382 (from Mill Hill East to Southgate via Finchley Central, , New Southgate (BR), Arnos Grove). Stops outside Road entrance to NLBP.

Trains: Arnos Grove tube station () and New Southgate (BR). Take 382 bus towards Southgate.

Landmarks: Pedestrian crossing at the entrance Bridge immediately before / after the entrance, depending on which direction you come from A sign for the Southgate Rugby Football Club at the entrance
