Siamo a bordo di uno dei 49er più veloci del mondo, quello dei fratelli Sibello, Pietro e Gianfranco, gli azzurri già olimpionici ad Atene nel 2004. Gli azzurri portacolori delle Fiamme Gialle sono alla loro partecipazione mondiale numero 11, il loro patrimonio di risultati delle edizioni precedenti è ricco di brillanti obiettivi raggiunti, fra questi due bronzi, un quarto posto nel 2007e due volte sesti. Gli alassini che sono attualmente in terza posizione nella ranking list mondiale hanno di recente conquistato a Marsala, in Sicilia, la medaglia di bronzo ai Campionati Europei. Il loro allenatore è Luca De Pedrini, già allenatore di Alessandra Sensini la plurimedagliata olimpica del windsurf; il team azzurro è composto inoltre dell’equipaggio siculo-bresciano Giuseppe Angilella e Pietro Zucchetti.
