  • Cisco Networking Academy: Texas Profile Cisco® Networking Academy® Is Playing a Critical Role in the U.S
Cisco Networking Academy: Texas Profile Cisco® Networking Academy® is playing a critical role in the U.S. economic recovery by preparing students for the sustainable jobs that government, education and industry all agree will fuel America’s ability to innovate and compete, not just today but in the future. As the focus turns to infrastructure, Networking Academy provides students with critical IT and networking skills to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure highway that both the public and private sector now depend on for sustainability. The new Obama administration clearly recognizes the importance that technology plays in preparing students to compete in a 21st century global economy. In a speech on January 8, 2009, at Virginia's George Mason University, President Obama highlighted the current science and technology skills gap in the United States and the urgent need to address it: “To give our children the chance to live out their dreams in a world that’s never been more competitive, we will equip tens of thousands of schools, community colleges, and public universities with 21st century classrooms, labs, and libraries. We’ll provide new computers, new technology, and new training for teachers, so that students in Chicago and Boston can compete with kids in Beijing for the high-tech, high-wage jobs of the future.” Cisco Networking Academy is a proven model for delivering 21st century learning because it delivers: • rigorous and interactive curricula licensed at no cost to nonprofit educational institutions • an e-learning platform that supports different learning styles • web-based content available to students 24/7 • online assessments • student performance tracking • hands-on labs • instructor training and support Networking Academy is a unique public-private partnership between educational institutions, national, state and local government, and community-based organizations, currently educating more than 128,000 students in over 2,200 U.S.

  • List of Directv Channels (United States)
List of DirecTV channels (United States) Below is a numerical representation of the current DirecTV national channel lineup in the United States. Some channels have both east and west feeds, airing the same programming with a three-hour delay on the latter feed, creating a backup for those who missed their shows. The three-hour delay also represents the time zone difference between Eastern (UTC -5/-4) and Pacific (UTC -8/-7). All channels are the East Coast feed if not specified. High definition Most high-definition (HDTV) and foreign-language channels may require a certain satellite dish or set-top box. Additionally, the same channel number is listed for both the standard-definition (SD) channel and the high-definition (HD) channel, such as 202 for both CNN and CNN HD. DirecTV HD receivers can tune to each channel separately. This is required since programming may be different on the SD and HD versions of the channels; while at times the programming may be simulcast with the same programming on both SD and HD channels. Part time regional sports networks and out of market sports packages will be listed as ###-1. Older MPEG-2 HD receivers will no longer receive the HD programming. Special channels In addition to the channels listed below, DirecTV occasionally uses temporary channels for various purposes, such as emergency updates (e.g. Hurricane Gustav and Hurricane Ike information in September 2008, and Hurricane Irene in August 2011), and news of legislation that could affect subscribers. The News Mix channels (102 and 352) have special versions during special events such as the 2008 United States Presidential Election night coverage and during the Inauguration of Barack Obama.

DIRECTOR’S NOTES: September 25, 2015 My endless gratitude goes to the cast, crew and production team for always believing in Anne’s story. Thank you for going on this journey through history with me. This endearing story impacts us all. May her light never be extinguished in the face of intolerance. May her story remain with all of you, always. In lieu of director’s notes, I’ve decided to share with you a personal letter on why I chose to direct this play. Brother Bob Warren, Let me preface this letter by saying, though I’ve grown up hearing many stories about you, we have never met. This letter has taken me quite some time to write. I must say everything I have wanted and needed to say for some time now. As a young boy, whenever possible, my aunt made sure to collect me on Friday evenings to take me watch local theater. I was in the 3rd grade when I watched my first play, Dearly Departed, at the Laredo Little Theater. The play was entertaining enough for a child more captivated by watching a dramatized live story than anything else. I attended numerous plays over the next few years, but at 11 years old and beginning the 6th grade at Lamar Middle, Peggy Phelps invited our Drama class to watch LITE Production’s latest endeavor. My mother and I attended that evening’s performance of The Diary of Anne Frank directed by you. I remember that night as clearly as yesterday. Lights up— Otto and Miep are stage left.
