Etaient donc en piste 15 prototypes (11 P et 4 PC) et 31 Grand Tourisme (10 GTLM et 21 GTD). Dans la catégorie reine des prototypes, trois Cadillac DPi (Mustang Sampling Racing , Whelen Engineering Racing et Konica-Minolta Wayne Taylor Racing ) étaient opposées à deux Nissan-Onroak DPi (Tequila Patron ESM ), deux Mazda ( Mazda Motorsports ), deux Oreca LMP2 (Rebellion Racing et JDC-Miller Motorsports ), une Ligier LMP2 (PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports ) et une Multimatic-Riley LMP2 (VisitFlorida Racing ). Du côté des PC, étaient en piste les Oreca FLM09 des teams BAR1 Motorsports (2) , Starworks Motorsport et Performance Tech Motorsports . Dans les catégories Grand Tourisme, les habitués du GTLM étaient tous présents avec les C7.R du Corvette Racing , les BMW M6 GTE du BMW Team RLL , les 991 RSR du team Porsche GT Team , la Ferrari 488 GTE du Risi Competizione ), Ford alignait ses deux Ford GT du Ford Chip Ganassi Racing ainsi qu’une de ses voitures du Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK ). Of the current crop oF Formula One racers, one of the biggest Family names is Rosberg. Nico Rosberg drives For Mercedes, and has done so For the previous three seasons. BeFore that he was with the Williams team, with whom he made his F1 debut. Rosberg races as a German but he has dual nationality with both Germany and Finland. His mother is German, and his Father is the Finnish Formula One driver Keke RosBerg. Keke was the First Full-time Finnish F1 driver, joining the series in 1978. He had worked his way through various junior formulae beFore being signed to the Theodore F1 team. The early results weren’t promising due to the aBility of the car, but Rosberg outdrove his machinery and raised eyebrows at the bigger teams.
