City of Golden Astor House Update

n 2016, Astor House closed to undergo a major structural rehabilitation. The I foundation was shored, basement retaining walls poured, new steel beams and columns installed, and new water drainage system built. The museum, which suffered years of declining attendance, remains closed to review new options to have a more vital and sustainable operation. This year, a Request for Proposals (RFP) will solicit ideas for uses of the building. Showcasing four 8-foot-tall images by local photographer Andrew Terrill, this large-scale exhibit will reveal Golden from a perspective that few people see.
