Town Council MINUTES OF THE PLANNING MEETING HELD IN THE TOWN HALL 29 June 2011

1. Chairman’s Welcome and Public Forum.

i. Housekeeping. Chairman advised of emergency procedures, exits, local hazards and location of wc’s. Mobile phones to be switched off or turned to ‘silent’. ii. Members of the public to be allowed 15 minutes to address members.

One Member of the Public present to put the case for supporting Application PA11/02618. Members listened to the comments to consider them later in the meeting. A request to the Council was made to have the application ‘Called in’ so that it would be decided by the Planning Committee instead of Planning Officers but it was explained that the request would have to be made to the member for Council.

2. Apologies for absence : The Town Clerk had heard that Cllr Middleditch would not be attending. (Members must remember that apologies have to be through the Town Clerk and not other Members).

3. Members Declarations :

i. Declarations of interests, in accordance with the Agenda - none ii. Declarations of Gifts of the value of £25 - none

4. Election of Committee Chair and Deputy Chair

Cllr Swindells proposed that Cllr Wills take this role on a temporary basis until new members have been co-opted on to the Town Council. Cllr Blake seconded the proposal. Cllr Wills agreed to take this post for the time being. Resolved

Cllr Wills proposed and Cllr Swindells seconded that the post of Deputy Chair be left vacant until more members join the Council Resolved

Plan A PA11/03219 : Provision of 4 holiday flats Plans A and Prings Caravans Castle an Dinas St Columb Cornwall B now Out of date – Plan B PA11/03716 : Proposed extension of garage roof to form car port. Proposed previous ground floor extension to form sun room and internal alterations meeting Ruthvoes Farm, St Columb Cornwall inquorate NOTED

Plan C PA11/02618 : Proposed new dwelling SUPPORTED Plot adjacent to Dinham House, Bridge, St Columb Cornwall

Whilst there was Planning History provided with the paperwork, members had heard from the member of public in attendance that a number of applications have been made for this brown field site previously. It had originally been the site of the

old gas works and therefore complies with the redevelopment of brown field sites The application is for a family home in an area where other dwellings surround it and therefore should be within the development site. As it stands the Town Council can find no reason to refuse this application.

PA11/03285 : Erection of Orangery The Stable Mount Pleasant Lower East Street NOTED

PA11/02740 : To change the use of retail shop to a tattoo studio and the selling NOTED of t-shirts with tattoo 37 Fore Street, St Columb

3. Approvals

PA11/00560 : The development of a 5MW solar photovoltaic farm on 16.1 Ha of NOTED land close to St Columb Major along with attendant equipment and infrastructure Trekenning Farm, Trekenning.
